One of the things I hate as a reader is when you get super excited to read a book and get so hyped up about it but for some reason or another, you never read it. Sometimes it sits so long on your to be read pile that it has gathered dust. Today, I have five YA books I won’t read anytime soon.

No Life but This by Anna Sheehan

A few years ago, I read A Long, Long Sleep by Anna Sheehan and I enjoyed it so much that I was eagerly waiting for the sequel. Apparently, No Life but This is a companion book and it has been on my TBR pile for since 2013 and I actually removed it from my TBR pile now.

City of Glass by Cassandra Clare

I read City of Bones a few months prior to watching the movie and I also finished the second book, City of Ashes. Unfortunately, the Mortal Instruments movie sucked and I honestly can’t remember anything that happened in the second book. I honestly don’t want to read the whole series, actually.

The Luxe by Anna Godbersen

Gilded Age is one of my favorite settings for historical romance but for some reason, I still haven’t read The LuxeI’m not sure if I ever will pick this up since this has been on my TBR since I started reading Young Adult books.

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

There was a time when I loved to read dystopia and read a few of them back in the day. Unfortunately, Under the Never Sky didn’t make it to my actual reading list. I’ve also seen this book all over Instagram and because I don’t normally read hyped books, I gave this a pass. I’m not sure if I will ever read this now.

Time After Time by Tamara Ireland Stone

I read Time Between Us years ago and I thought it was a nice take on The Time Traveler’s Wife and I liked it. But for some reason, I didn’t end up reading the sequel, Time After Time. Time travel is one of my favorite tropes but again, I am not sure why I didn’t pick up the sequel.

Have you read any of these books before? Should I give any one of them a second chance?
