Firebird Trilogy by Claudia Gray Skinny Audiobook Review

Firebird Trilogy by Claudia Gray Skinny Audiobook Review

A Thousand Pieces of You was a re-listen for me last year. I listened to the audiobook in 2014 when it first came out because of the GORGEOUS cover! Other than that, I thought it was amazing! This is the first book in the Firebird Trilogy and centers around the Caine family and Marguerite, the daughter of scientists who invented time travel using their time machine necklace called the Firebird. The whole plot of the first book revolves around trying to find Marguerite’s father who is trapped in another multiverse. My first reaction to this book was AWE! This book had me riveted, especially […]

Mogul by Joanna Shupe | Book Review

Mogul by Joanna Shupe | Book Review

I received this book for free from the Publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. Where do I start with Mogul? This book was honestly one of my most anticipated reads for 2017, especially after I read Baron and absolutely LOVED it. In fact, I rated Baron 5 hearts, it was that good. Unfortunately, Mogul didn’t live up to my expectations. As much as I want to love it, I just couldn’t. I think […]

Skinny Reviews: Killer Instincts Series by Elle Kennedy

Skinny Reviews: Killer Instincts Series by Elle Kennedy

Midnight Rescue is the first romantic suspense book that I read in perhaps the longest time. I wasn’t sure how I would like this but I was surprised that I did! Midnight Rescue features a very strong heroine, who is an assassin and she also had a lot of baggage! The central plot is a rescue. I actually enjoyed the thrill and the backdrop of the Columbian drug cartel. The romance still has a lot to be said but I liked the chemistry between Abby and Kane. It wasn’t one of my favorites but there were two characters that intrigued me: Trevor and […]

North’s book is perhaps one of the books that I have been highly anticipating to read ever since I read about him in All Chained Up. I am so thankful that I am an Avon Addict and I was able to grab an eARC waaaay in advance! I read this book a couple of weeks ago and […]

Something in Between by Melissa de la Cruz | Audiobook Review

Something in Between by Melissa de la Cruz | Audiobook Review

Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. I honestly don’t know how to review this book. When I finished listening to the audiobook, I was hit with homesickness. If you don’t know already, I am an immigrant (now a US citizen) and I am Filipino, so this book really hit home for me. Coincidentally, my turn for the library cue came a few days before the US Presidential Election, which I thought was very appropriate. I had to read this. In fact, I finished listening to the audiobook on election day. I admit to […]

Oh, the feels! Baron by Joanna Shupe | Book Review + Giveaway

I received this book for free from the Publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. I honestly wasn’t too sure about this book going into this book. I was a little underwhelmed by Magnate, book 1 in the Knickerbocker Club series. Fortunately, I didn’t listen to my misgivings and gave Baron a shot and OMG I was blown away! I loved Will and Ava so much, their chemistry just […]

While the Duke Was Sleeping by Sophie Jordan | Book Review

While the Duke Was Sleeping by Sophie Jordan | Book Review

I received this book for free from the Publisher via Edelweiss & the Avon Addicts Program in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. It looks like a lot of historical romances are doing retellings of classic movies (not that I am complaining). With YA doing the classic/fairy tale retellings, I think this is perfect! As you can tell, While the Duke was Sleeping is a retelling of While You Were Sleeping with […]
