My Most Anticipated Releases for the Second Half of 2020

Happy Tuesday, Wormies! I’m back and I’m excited because my reading mojo is back! I’m getting a little bit more reading done, which has been great since the pandemic happened! I’m really excited about the following books releasing the rest of this year! I’ve already read Don’t Hex and Drive by Juliette Cross and I gave it 5 stars! My review will be posted on the week of release date.       Do you have any of these books on your TBR? Have you read any of these books? Which books have you been highly anticipating?

Romeo & Juliet, X-Men & Revenge | Renegades by Marissa Meyer Audiobook Review

Romeo & Juliet, X-Men & Revenge | Renegades by Marissa Meyer Audiobook Review

Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review.   Renegades is a book that I have been putting off for a while. I have been very hesitant in diving in because of the lackluster early reviews. It’s unfortunate, really because Marissa Meyer is one of my favorite YA authors. I finally listened to the audiobook this month and I liked it? So, I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this book. Let’s just say that it is a very sloooooow book. I mean, the world building is amazing! In fact, it’s as vivid as her world […]

For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund | Book Review

Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. It took me a while (well years, really) to finally read this. I first For Darkness Shows the Stars a little after it came out and I was blown away by the awesome cover! I mean, LOOK AT THAT COVER! And the title is GENIUS! A revolution that missed the mark! The Book of Ivy/TheRevolution of Ivy by Amy Engle | Audiobook Review

A revolution that missed the mark! The Book of Ivy/TheRevolution of Ivy by Amy Engle | Audiobook Review

Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. This review is going to be a twofer because the second book doesn’t warrant its own review, and I will tell you why. Last year, I read this little book called The Book of Ivy and I loved it!  It was a sleeper dystopian that got under my skin before I even knew what was what!  It was surprising, to say the least, because this book would not have made it to my reading list if 1) I didn’t like the title, and 2) it wasn’t […]

Stitching Snow by R.C. Lewis | Audiobook Review

Stitching Snow by R.C. Lewis | Audiobook Review

MY THOUGHTS Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Review At a Glance. Disclaimer:  I listened to the audiobook way back in August so I am not 100% certain about most of the details, but I will review this to the best of my memory. Not another Snow White re-telling! I know many reviewers have compared Stitching Snow by R.C. Lewis to Marissa Meyer’s The Lunar Chronicles but I promise you, it isn’t!  Sure, it has the same themes as TLC but there is a marked difference. Tell me more! Obviously, Princess Snow is missing and she is […]

The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey | Audiobook Review

The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey | Audiobook Review

MY THOUGHTS Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Review At a Glance. Ok, I admit it, I have never heard of The Fifth Wave until I saw the trailer a couple of months ago.  If you know me, you would know that I am so into aliens.  In fact, one of my favorite shows is Ancient Aliens, but I digress.  Let’s just say that I am very fascinated by aliens. What is it about? The Fifth Wave is about an alien attack on Earth.  The attacks come in waves; the first wave: total blackout; […]
