It was a bit…. boring. Chasing Cassandra by Lisa Kleypas [Audiobook Review]

It was a bit…. boring. Chasing Cassandra by Lisa Kleypas [Audiobook Review]

We finally have the last Ravenels book and one of my highly anticipated books of 2020! Unfortunately, Chasing Cassandra was a bit of a disappointment for me. But at 3.5 stars, it was still an enjoyable book. Let me explain. I have been intrigued by Tom Severin since he first appeared in Cold-Hearted Rake. As you now already know, I am a fan of self-made men and Lisa Kleypas writes the best ones! Derek Craven, John McKenna, and Simon Hunt, anyone? But I digress. Chasing Cassandra was sweet and fun and quirky (not too quirky, like Pandora’s book) and it […]

Top Three Tuesday is my spin on Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl   Happy Tuesday, Wormies! With the pandemic right now, I hope you are staying healthy and limiting being in groups as much as possible. I am lucky that I am able to work from home until things change. On a good note, I am sharing books that I have on my Spring TBR. I feel like spring is not happening because it’s still been so cold and freezing here in California.   Why I Want to Read this After reading and loving The Friend Zone and […]

My Most Read Romance Authors of the Decade

My Most Read Romance Authors of the Decade

Happy Monday, Wormies! I’ve been busy making this post for you! It took a bit of time to do because I had to wade through my Goodreads tracker to get the actual numbers! I was inspired by Francesca’s video @ Under the Covers Book Blog Youtube channel where she shared her most read authors of the decade. Please go and watch her video because she has some amazing authors on her list! Looking back to the books that I read in the past decade was a bit surprising. For one, I wasn’t really tracking my reading seriously until a […]

Read a Romance Blog: Readaholic Book Reviews

Featuring our favorite romance book bloggers!   Happy Wednesday, Wormies! Welcome to another Read a Romance Blog feature! Today, we’re featuring T @ Readaholic Book Reviews! Read a Romance Blog series is a feature on this blog showcasing book bloggers that primarily review romance.   About the Romance Blogger I’ve always loved reading, but it wasn’t until I was in my early twenties that I really started to fall in love with reading and was actively seeking out the next book to read. It was around the same time that I fell in love with the romance genre. I’ve been […]

Favorite Books with Single-Word Titles

Favorite Books with Single-Word Titles

Top Three Tuesday is my spin on Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl   For Top Ten Tuesday, I am using last weeks’ theme because I don’t really actively follow a lot of authors on social media. I passively follow some of them, but not really for fun content, if you know what I mean. Since I wasn’t able to post last week, I am picking that theme today! I also had fun looking at my top favorite books with single-word titles and picking out the ones with one-word titles!   Why I love this If you haven’t […]

Spending Some Down Time | Currently Reading 2020 Weeks 9-10

Bookish updates in the last 2 weeks   Happy Sunday, everyone! I’ve been having a bit of downtown and took some time to listen to a few audiobooks and finish reading some of the books on my TBR! Yay! I’m still slowly reading, though but the driving around has given me more time to listen to audiobooks. I still need to work on reading at night, but it has just not been possible for now. I usually tend to sleep really early. LOL I feel so old. I have been busy at work. There has been coronavirus scares here in […]

A Really Slow Burn Romance | We Are Us by Tara Leigh [ARC Review]

A Really Slow Burn Romance | We Are Us by Tara Leigh [ARC Review]

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. We are Us is my first DNF of this year. I am legit DNFing at 90%!!!! I was very interested in the plot of We are Us. In fact, I was bawling through the flashback – especially during the time when Poppy and Gavin met in the woods at thirteen and their friendship grew and ultimately changed to love. That flashback really broke me. Unfortunately, the flashback took more than half of the […]
