Books On My TBR I HOPE Will Be 5-Star Reads

Books On My TBR I HOPE Will Be 5-Star Reads

Top Three Tuesday is my spin on Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl   Happy Tuesday, Wormies! I’m picking three books on my highly anticipating shelf that I HOPE will be a 5-Star read! Hopefully, this post won’t jinx it! Unfortunately, I already read one book that was a disappointment! It really sucks because I had high hopes for that book (Love Her or Lose Her by Tessa Bailey). I also shared my highly anticipated reads for 2020 last year!     Why I Think it’s Going to be a 5-Star Read The Ravenels series is SPECTACULAR! Plus, it’s Cassandra and Severin’s […]

Sometimes, You Just Need a Good Cry

Sometimes, You Just Need a Good Cry

Let’s talk about anything bookish! This is a different discussion post because it is a little bit personal. Well, not in a personal PERSONAL, if you know what I mean, but something that I want to share with everyone. I am an extremely emotional reader. And really, I tear up at minor things – usually meet-cutes! hahaha But seriously, though. Sometimes, I DO search out emotional reads purposely so I can ugly cry. I have no idea why I do that, but I just do! I am an extremely emotional reader and a mood reader to boot, so both are a crazy combo! In fact, Mr. He […]

Life Happens | January 2020 Monthly Wraps

Life Happens | January 2020 Monthly Wraps

Last month on I Heart Romance   There is always that time where you just don’t want to do anything. Couple that with the flu and you have an epic stepback from the bookstagram and bookish community. January has just been a month. What with #RWAshitshow, my new job (that I’m loving, by the way), and just trying to get by every single day, it really has been one heck of a month. Anyway, I’ve fully regenerated and now starting to be more active on here and on bookstagram! Hit me up over there and say hi! I’ve not bee fully […]

A Fantastic Ending to an Already Amazing Series! The One For You by Roni Loren [ARC Review]

A Fantastic Ending to an Already Amazing Series! The One For You by Roni Loren [ARC Review]

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. It is no secret that I love second-chance romance and The One For You ticked all the right boxes for me. Not only that, but this book is also an unrequited romance! And it’s the hero that’s been crushing on our gal for since they were kids! I’ve also been waiting for Kincaid’s HEA since I read The Ones Who Got Away because she was the brains of their little group and basically rounded up all […]

Favorite January 2020 Covers

Top Three Tuesday is my spin on Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl   Happy Tuesday, Wormies! I’ve been doing a lot of soul searching (well, blog soul searching, anyway) and I want my blog to be a little more personal (as personal as I can make it). I also want to post more and in a bid to inspire me to do it, I wanted to make my other non-review posts, be a little more in-depth but not make it too long as to make me not want to post anymore. So. Here we have my spin on Top Ten Tuesday. […]

There was no chemistry at all! Desperate Measures by Katee Robert [Book Review]

There was no chemistry at all! Desperate Measures by Katee Robert [Book Review]

I liked the premise of Desperate Measures. Unfortunately, I felt that there was no chemistry between Jasmine and Jafar! I’ve also watched the Disney version of Aladdin multiple times and I just can’t get the image of the animated Jafar out of my head, so thinking about him as the hero was just eeeew! Desperate Measures is a twisted fantasy erotic romance retelling that really adds a new twist to the fairy tale retellings that have been so popular. Frankly, I do love a good twist in fairy tale retellings but I guess I’m just not the audience for this specific […]
