Stranger in My Arms by Lisa Kleypas | Book Review

Stranger in My Arms by Lisa Kleypas | Book Review

I have read and re-read this book multiple times and it has never failed to entertain me.  I love the story and to be honest, I have read at least once in each book cover design.  Here are the covers: This is a unique story, I thought and I never expected the twist in the end when it was revealed who the real Hunter was.  When it was revealed that the stranger was Hunter’s half brother, I felt that it was a little bit unsettling to a certain extent but I still enjoyed reading this story. The story starts off […]

Any Duchess Will Do by Tessa Dare | Book Review

Any Duchess Will Do by Tessa Dare | Book Review

“Her,” he said. “I’ll take her.” When I read that part I fell in love with the whole story!  I thought it was going to be the usual “rags to riches” story but it turned out to be a very entertaining Saturday read! The Duchess of Halford kidnaps her son and brings him to Spindle Cove to meet a woman – any woman who she says she can easily turn into a duchess.  Griffin, the Duke of Halford, wants none of that and picks the most inappropriate and most impossible person to turn into a duchess, serving girl Pauline Simms.  […]

Princess in Love by Julianne MacLean | Book Review

Princess in Love by Julianne MacLean | Book Review

I read this book after I read the last book of the series, The Prince’s Bride because I was intrigued by the mention of Princess Rose in the book (where her HEA wasn’t even mentioned).  I actually bought this book last year but didn’t get around to reading it until after I read the final book in the trilogy. I’d like to start with Rose and Leopold as a couple.  I was actually intrigued by their relationship when I read the prologue.  In it, Leo was in jail for treason and for plotting to kill the king (Rose’s brother) with […]

One Good Earl Deserves a Lover by Sarah MacLean | Book Review

One Good Earl Deserves a Lover by Sarah MacLean | Book Review

Let me just say that I fell in love with Cross and Philippa the first time I read their verbal sparring. Both of these characters are so likable and the chemistry between the two pretty much jumped off the page! Pippa is really naive, adventurous, and too serious for her own good that I was practically laughing at her notions and thoughts. I also thought she was the perfect match for Cross who I see as a sensitive man despite his sordid past and reputation….

Never Trust a Scoundrel by Gayle Callen | Book Review

Never Trust a Scoundrel by Gayle Callen | Book Review

This is the first book that I read by Gayle Callen and it was a bit of a let down. I had decided to read this when I saw that it was on sale and bought it on a whim.

Grace Banbury goes to London to try to salvage what is left of their inheritance when her mother gambles away everything in a card game. When she arrives in London, she discovers that their town house is empty and devoid of any servants and she also meets Daniel Throckmorten, the newest owner. Daniel, thinking that she is her brother’s mistress, starts to make a proposition.

Those Nights in Montreal by Beverley Kendall | Book Review

Those Nights in Montreal by Beverley Kendall | Book Review

I read this book in a few short hours and I thought it was okay. I decided to buy this novella because I had already read the first book in the series, When in Paris… and I was very interested about Rebecca and Scott’s story. We first meet the two in the When in Paris… where there appeared to be tension between the two.

A Little Bit Sinful by Robyn DeHart | Book Review + Giveaway

A Little Bit Sinful by Robyn DeHart | Book Review + Giveaway

A Little Bit Sinful is the first book that I read written by Robyn Dehart and it turned out to be a refreshing read to me as well. This is also the second book in the series and I think it did well as a stand alone, seeing as I had not read the first book yet.

This story centers on Clarissa trying to steer her “perfect match” George, into proposing marriage to her. Unfortunately, it has taken him quite a while to propose and Clarissa is getting antsy.
