Last month’s deets on I Heart Romance & YA
March 24 marks our 8th Wedding Anniversary! Yes, Pierre and I have been married for 8 years now, and we’ve known each other for 14 years! Wowza! Sadly, we weren’t able to spend our anniversary together because of his work. Ehemm. We’re juggling a long distance relationship again, but we sure make it look easy!
The good? I was able to meet Marissa Meyer and Rick Yancey! Oh, and did I mention that I dragged my hubby to both events? I know he secretly enjoyed it!
Owlcrate’s March Box is perfect! I love the banned socks and the small book of Tiny Things To Write About! Oh and The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner is a book that I have been waiting for!
I did pretty great last month! I have officially read 26 books! OMG! I feel so accomplished! 9 books in March, peoples! Soooooo excited! 2 more physical copies read in March! No re-reads this month AND no books read for the Shelf Love Challenge because I just have SO MANY BOOKS TO READ! I blame Cee @ The Novel Hermit and Annika @ Hiding Books for this! EVIL PEOPLES, these two!
As you can see Queen of Shadows claims the spot as the longest book read! And if you take a peek at last month’s recap, Heir of Fire made the longest book award! Ahhhh, Sarah J. Maas just writes monster books… and I am so FINEEE with that!

I went to 2 book signings in March! I got to meet Marissa Meyer and Rick Yancey! See evidence below!
Me and Melissa Meyer at the Ontario Teen Book Festival
Me and Rick Yancey at The 5th Wave book signing

I have some sad and unfortunate news for everyone (actually for me. I’M JUST DEVASTATED!!). After so much excitement, I am not going to the Romantic Times Convention in Las Vegas this year, and I am unable to attend BEA in Chicago this year. But on the upside, I will be able to attend the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books and Yallwest!! Is anyone going? Let me know so we can meet up!
I am super upset because my freaking DVR didn’t record 3 episodes of The Walking Dead and to top it off, I am unable to watch it on the AMC app or website because freaking AT&T is saying I am NOT subscribed to AMC WHEN I AM! WTF AT&T!
The DVR issue has been solved BUT THE APP/WEBSITE issue hasn’t been, so I NEED TO CATCH UP WITH THE LAST 3 EPISODES! I WILL BE CAUGHT UP! I WILL!
This month, I will be trying (note the word trying) to join a daily #Bookstagram challenge! WHEW! I think this will be an epic failure, but I think that’s okay. I didn’t promise that I will do this daily BUT I WILL TRY! I will be out to the seaside this weekend, so I probably won’t have any time to take bookish pics for the daily challenge, but I can hope!
How did your month go? Any good book recs you can give me?
