The problem with being born with expectations is the failure to live up to any.
Christopher might be the antichrist but taking over the world and leading the minions of darkness sounds like a lot of work. And while slacking is a sin his supposed dad Lucifer approves of, his lack of goals is a problem.
Personally, Christopher would rather just work hard enough to make ends meet—and maybe buy a six-pack. But fate is conspiring against him. For some reason the dead won't stay in the ground, apparently he's not an only child, he has sisters and this hot chick he met in the cemetery refuses to sleep with him.
It’s time for this lazy prince in waiting to rise to the occasion and embrace destiny—or at least make out with it.

I picked up Lazy Son by Eve Langlais by chance when I saw the cover of the second book Jilted Prince, and thought that the blurb was interesting. I don’t exactly know what to say about Lazy Son because this was a bit of a mess? Crazysauce?
The premise is this: Christopher is the antichrist and is the son of Lucifer but Lucifer doesn’t really know that this son exists because apparently Lucifer only has daughters? And then the heroine Isobel, is a witch that doesn’t really have powers but is the granddaughter or Rasputin? Yeah, THE Rasputin! But when she and Chris meet, they manage to raise the dead? YAY zombies!
Lazy Son was a quick read for me and I actually ended up scratching my head because I didn’t really understand what I was reading? And also Chris was a jerk and a half because all he thought about was sexing up Isobel, and there really wasn’t any spark between them?
Christopher and Isobel’s relationship was also too insta-love for me. I mean, I know this book was indirectly implying that Chris and Izzy were meant to be but… again, there was no spark!
Also, there is a cliffhanger in the end so….
Didn’t I say crazysauce?!
I’m not comfortable enough recommending this book but if you are a fan of crazysauce then this is the book for you!
