Welcome, Historical Romance lovers and new historical romance readers! Welcome to my very first Historical Romance Reading Challenge! I decided to embark and host this challenge because the historical romance is my guilty pleasure and my all-time favorite genre.
For 2017, I am challenging myself and I’m inviting everyone else to join in! You don’t have to be an uber fan of historical romance, to join. In fact, I welcome newbies and readers who want to try historical romance for the very first time!
Congratulations to last month’s winner, Annaberry! I am waiting for her book choice and I can’t wait to find out what it is!
For this challenge, my goal will be to be a Duchess and read 36 books! I also want to challenge myself and read at least one book in these categories: Regency Romance, Victorian Romance, Historical Romance with a Diverse main character.
I read another 6 historical romance books this month! To be honest, I am unable to focus on other genres at the moment. I mean, I have been reading YA and contemporaries here and there, but not as much as historical romance! I actually reread 3 books this month because I found the complete Aincourts series by Candace Camp at The Ripped Bodice a couple of weeks ago! SUCH an AMAZING find! Of course, I already have these books in the Philippines, but I couldn’t not buy it!

- Seven Minutes in Heaven (Regency Romance)
- The Ugly Duchess (Regency Romance) – reread*
- Secrets of the Heart (Regency Romance)
- The Handmaiden’s Necklace (Regency Romance)
- Devil in Spring (Regency Romance) *OMG SUPER AMAZING READ! I CAN’T EVENNNNN!!!!
- So Wild a Heart (Regency Romance)
As for the categories, I think I just went to the park with this one! I only have 2 more categories to go to complete this challenge and I am super excited about this!

I had a bit of a slow February reading HR 🙁 BUT I did read Devil in Spring and holy crap it made me soooo happy!
I have a bunch of HR ARCS I have to read for March, so I think I’ll do better this month, haha.
…I’ve been really trying to read Eloise James, but for some reason I can’t seem to finish her books ): I don’t know what’s up.
Anyway, thanks for hosting, Zeee!

Yeah Eloisa is a hit and miss for me… 🙁 Sadly.. Her Desperate Duchesses series just wasn’t for me, you know?
oh what a fun challenge you have here and you have made some great progress here. I really enjoyed both Devil in Spring and The Ugly Duchess (When I read it years ago). And it looks like you have been reading some fabulous eras and settings. I do love medieval romance though, its probably one of my favorite eras to read in.

I used to love Medieval, not as much now, tho… Maybe I just need to reread my favorites and see if I will still love them again! 🙂
