Sharing my thoughts on this weeks’ reads

Happy Sunday, Wormies! This couple of weeks have been pretty slow for me. I did not read as many books as I did last time BUT I was able to re-read one of my favorite historical romance series, Necklace Trilogy by Kat Martin. Apparently, I am still in a historical romance kick because I have been devouring them like crazy over the last month.

I have also started reading my very first Jay Crownover book Better When He’s Bad and I have feelings for this book. I am already reading the next book in the series, too!

  • The Bride’s Necklace, The Devil’s Necklace, and The Handmaiden’s Necklace are re-reads for me but it has been a number of years since I re-read this series. This follows the story of three friends, Victoria Whiting (The Bride’s Necklace), Grace Chastain (The Devil’s Necklace) and Rafael, Duke of Sheffield (The Handmaiden’s Necklace) as they find love while in possession of the Bride’s Necklace, an antique pearl and diamond necklace that is cursed. This is one of my favorite series from Kat Martin and I enjoyed listening to the audiobook!
  • Better When He’s Bad is the very first Jay Crownover book I read and I must say that I enjoyed it. It is more of a romantic suspense book but it is very, very dark.

For Review

Purchased & Gifted

I found the complete set of the Aincourt Hearts series by Candace Camp, one of my favorite series at The Ripped Bodice bookstore yesterday and I had to buy it! I got it second-hand and I will be re-reading this series again!

I also bought Beverly Jenkins’ newest book Breathless because I went to the book signing yesterday!

And because I went to the signing, Crystal @ Crystal Blogs Books (THANK YOU SO MUCH!) gave me a hardback copy of Smooth Talking Stranger by Lisa Kleypas. Now I know I’m not a fan of her contemporaries because back then, I wasn’t reading any contemporary, I will TRY my best to read this.

How did your reading go this week? Please share your book recs! Have you been to any book signings lately?
