Let’s talk about anything bookish! If you follow me on Twitter, you would know that I have been talking a bit about diversity in audiobooks – as in getting diverse narrators to read audiobooks, or at least make an effort to pronounce non-English words correctly. I’m a bit triggered about this because I have been on the other end of being ridiculed for not pronouncing English words correctly. News flash, I did not grow up in America. I immigrated here when I was 21. While my accent is not that thick, I still pronounce some words incorrectly and I […]
Last month on I Heart Romance I really wish I have a lot of things to say but I’m last week was the most exhausting week of all. I just wanted to run and hide and forget this current world we have right now doesn’t exist. Many things happened. Actually, it feels like a million things are happening. We had to say goodbye to our cat, Twylah a couple of weeks ago, and is truly heartbreaking. We knew her time was short. And to be honest, we had been holding on to her for a while now. But it […]
Happy Tuesday, Wormies! I’m back and I’m excited because my reading mojo is back! I’m getting a little bit more reading done, which has been great since the pandemic happened! I’m really excited about the following books releasing the rest of this year! I’ve already read Don’t Hex and Drive by Juliette Cross and I gave it 5 stars! My review will be posted on the week of release date. Do you have any of these books on your TBR? Have you read any of these books? Which books have you been highly anticipating?
Last month on I Heart Romance & YA Good morning, Wormies! It’s another month and we are closer to the end of the year! I just feel like it’s been 20 thousand years since 2020 started! Gahh I need this year to be over now. If you are in the US, the Presidential Election is in November so please register to vote. I’m in California and we have mail-in voting. This will also be my first Presidential election since I became a US Citizen and Pierre and I are definitely voting. Also, don’t forget to complete the 2020 Census! […]
The last couple of months on I Heart Romance Hello, lovely Wormies! It’s another month and we have already crossed over half of the year! Unfortunately, the world is still not off lockdown. I live in Los Angeles and it is reported that there is an increase in the number of positive Covid-19 cases! I also work as a nurse consultant in Long-Term care and I am going into my third week of visiting the nursing homes I am assigned to. We are required to get tested for Covid-19 every week. Hopefully, everything will be okay. On a good […]
Bookish updates in the last 5 weeks Hello, Wormies. I think it was good to have a quick break with blogging. I am currently working on the next Read a Romance Book series featuring Contemporary Romance. This is a huge undertaking because it is a huge genre, but I am thankful that a lot of you have been recommending their contemporary must-reads! I’ve been trying to keep my spirits high and slowly reading. It’s not been going well, but I’m trying to get my spirits up. I have been watching a few shows on Netflix and Disney+! Also, rewatching Avatar: The […]
Last month on I Heart Romance & YA Hello everybody! I have been MIA again and we all know why right? I have been more active on Instagram, though and I think that will be where I will be hanging out in the foreseeable future. Or at least, when I have come to terms with our current situation. Sadly, I was only able to read two books. GASP! Yeah, I know. I will do better this month! I buddy read Stranger in My Arms with a few girls from Instagram and it is my top read (or reread) […]
