Books on My Summer 2019 TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

formerly hosted at The Broke and the Bookish

It’s almost summer and I can’t wait to get rid of this June gloom that SoCal is currently in! I need some heartwarming and sunshiney reads!

Light-hearted Reads

Waiting for Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfrey | Meet Cute by Helena Hunting | Boracay Vows by Maida Malby | Parental Guidance by Avery Flynn | A Highlander Walks into a Bar by Laura Trentham

Thrilling Reads

Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton | When We Left Cuba by Chanel Cleeton | King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo | We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal | Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim

What books do you plan to read this summer?

  1. I’m curious to see what you think of Waiting on Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfree. I’ve seen that it worked for a lot of people but I didn’t care for it at all. I hope you like it a lot more than I did.

I did really enjoy the Chanel Cleeton books you’ve got listed here. Those are angsty but super good.

    Happy reading, Zee!

  2. Sharlene Wegner

I read Meet Cute & it was very good! Not as light and breezy as the cover suggests, just as a warning, but a great friends to enemies to lovers story. The light-hearted reads all look good to me!

  3. Love your list! I’ve read Spin the Dawn & We Hunt the Flame and loved both. I really need to find time to squeeze in Next Year in Havana. I have it, but it keeps getting passed by for other books.

    • I loved Butterface so much!!! I read another book from her that I didn’t like, but Butterface really made me LOL!
