My name &
Where I’m From
Hello, everyone! My name is Ezrah! Yes, that is Ezrah with an H! This is the second year I’m joining Love-a-thon so I already introduced myself last time. If you want to read more about me, read my 2016 Love-a-thon post. You can also read more on my about page.
I also blog from Souther California! Canoga Park, to be exact! Hello, fellow Angelenos!
But I was born and raised in Dumaguete City, Philippines! I will be vacationing there in April, so stay tuned for more photos! 🙂
My Reading
History
I have been a reader for as long as I can remember! In fact, my aunt swore that I wouldn’t sleep without a story read to me. I also wanted to get books for Christmas since I was little. Yep, not toys, but books!
I think the aha moment when I finally admitted that I was a legit bookworm was when I was in second grade when I read A LOT of childhood fairy tales and stories. In third grade, I read A Wrinkle in Time, and the Nancy Drew series and the rest is history. I also grew up reading Sweet Valley, which I absolutely LOVED!
Me &
I Heart Romance & YA
I have been blogging for about 10 years now. My blogs have come and gone, but I Heart Romance & YA is my longest running blog to date!
I Heart Romance & YA is a mash-up of my favorite genre: YA and Adult romance. This blog actually started as a purely adult romance review blog because, at that time, I hadn’t read any awesome YA books. Then, I picked up These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner and I was HOOKED to YA! So now, my blog focussed on both main genres.
My blog mostly features a mixture os reviews, bookish discussions, and lists! I also have blog posts on Bookish Inspired Clothing and I am trying to revive my feature Hubby Reads YA. Of course, I have to get Pierre read YA, though. He hasn’t read in over a year! I think the last one he read was Winter by Marissa Meyer and I wasn’t able to ask him what he thought about it! Ack!
My Bookish
Poison
I mostly read romance. Historical Romance, to be exact. But I read YA, too. Mostly sci-fi and fantasy. I used to read a lot of dystopian YA, but I think I’m pretty much over it right now.
I also remember saying that I will NOT read contemporary, but I just stuck my foot in my mouth! I now read contemporary NA and also so romantic suspense!
I still read a little Paranormal romance BUT my absolute favorite genre is Historical Romance.

Me & My
Jams
I am more of a 90s kid and I also listen to a lot of 70s and 80s music. My genres range from alternative, heavy metal, rock, and even pop.
Favorite Childhood
Books

Jules Verne
Jules Verne is one of my favorite Sci-Fi/Adventure writers. I absolutely love 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (Captain Nemo is notorious!) and A Journey to the Center of the Earth (I’ve always LOVED to visit Reykjavik). Also, he sort of “predicted” the future!
Nancy Drew Mysteries
When I was a young warthog (ahem), I wanted to be exactly like Nancy Drew! I gobbled up all the mysteries. This was also one of the books that I could check out from my school library.
Sweet Valley Series
I was ADDICTED to Sweet Valley. From Kids, Twins, High, University, Unicorns, Saga, and even the special editions, I DEVOURED them.
A Wrinkle in Time
I read this book while I was in third grade and I LOVED it so much. I was glued to this book that I read it in one sitting.
Michael Crichton
There was a time where I was obsessed with dinosaurs so I went ahead and read Jurassic Park before I saw the movie. YEP, I saw a LOT of differences between the book and the movie. This was also the book that I read first before watching the movie (that I know of).
From Books to
Movies & TV
I love that a lot of books have now been turned into movies or TV shows. Below are books and/or series that I want to be adapted to either TV or movie. Throne of Glass is already optioned for a series on Hulu so there is that!
