Searching for Disaster by Jennifer Probst | Book Review + Blog Tour

I received this book for free from the Publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. Finally, we get Izzy’s love story in this short novella! I admit to being very intrigued by her since I read Searching For Beautiful (OMG THAT BOOK!) and I am so, so happy that she finally got her HEA! I am feeling a little bittersweet about this book because it marks the end of the ladies […]

A Charming Second Chance Romance · A Gentleman Never Tells by Eloisa James · Review + Giveaway

I received this book for free from the Publisher via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.   Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. Full disclosure.  I haven’t read the Essex Sisters series yet and I think this may change!  I was absolutely CHARMED by A Gentleman Never Tells! Picture this: a shy widow BUT she’s a VIRGIN! Our honorable hero: who has some groveling to do because of slights he did when he was younger. What do we have? […]

Mine by Stacey Kennedy | Book Review + Giveaway

I received this book for free from the Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.   MY THOUGHTS Mine by Stacey Kennedy is the 7th book in the Club Sin series and is, in fact, a novella.  Mine also stars the couple in the first book, Claimed – Presley and Dimitri.  I’m not really sure if this is the last book in the series (but it does seem like it) but it is shorter than the others.  It also happens about a few years down the […]

An Heiress For All Seasons by Sophie Jordan | Book Review

I received this book for free from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. MY THOUGHTS An Heiress for All Seasons is a novella based on the Debutante Files by Sophie Jordan.  This story follows shortly after A Good Debutante’s Guide to Ruin (4/5 Hearts) and is about Will, the Earl of Merlton (Declan’s cousin) and American heiress Violet Howard as they find love during the Christmas holidays.  Violet and her mother are invited to the Earl of Merlton’s estate in the hopes of making a match.  Violet, on […]

Fairest by Marissa Meyer | Audiobook Review

Fairest by Marissa Meyer | Audiobook Review

MY THOUGHTS Let me just tell you that when I read Cinder, I hated Levana on sight (when I read her in the first book Cinder, I mean)!  She really felt like some weird, ugly crypt keeper-like Lunar with the veil concealing her face from the public, and even from us, the readers. So, when I heard that she was going to have her own story, I was excited!  This novella would be the answer to all the questions that had been on my mind.  Like:  What’s with the f-ing veil? or Why do you insist on marrying Prince Kai […]

Woo’d in Haste by Sabrina Darby | Book Review

Woo’d in Haste by Sabrina Darby | Book Review

My Thoughts Woo’d In Haste is the first book of the Taming series by Sabrina Darby and is a retelling of William Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew.  This is a longish novella about 150 pages and it read like a novella.  Woo’d In Haste tells the story of Miss Bianca Mansfield and Lucien Dorlingsley, Viscount Asquith and how they “fell” in love. This is the first book that I read by Sabrina Darby.  Unfortunately, I didn’t really enjoy it as much.  Maybe owing to the “live at first sight” trope.  Now, don’t get me wrong, I do love a […]
