A Classic Emotional Romance! Kiss an Angel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips [Audiobook Review]

A Classic Emotional Romance! Kiss an Angel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips [Audiobook Review]

When I said I had never read SEP before, people gasp. Then they go ahead and recommend the Chicago Stars series or they tell me I HAVE to read Kiss an Angel. Naturally, I avoided the book like the plague! In fact, I received a copy of this book in mass market paperback in my last Avon Addicts box a few years ago. Now I know why this book is HIGHLY recommended. I mean, PEOPLE, if you HAVEN’T read Kiss an Angel, the time to read it is NOW. Kiss an Angel is probably one of the most memorable books I’ve ever read […]

One Kick-ass Heroine! Phoenix Unbound by Grace Draven [Audiobook Review]

One Kick-ass Heroine! Phoenix Unbound by Grace Draven [Audiobook Review]

Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review.   It’s been a while since I read fantasy romance and I was a little apprehensive going in to Phoenix Unbound and I was blown away! Phoenix Unbound is an awesome, thrilling and romantic fantasy and I can’t get enough of it! Phoenix Unbound is set in a fantasy world very similar to Rome where there are gladiator fights and female sacrifices with an evil empire taking over the world. Our heroine is Gilene, an ordinary woman with extraordinary fire powers. She is also able to […]

Hot Damn! Crossing the Line Series by Tessa Bailey [Audiobook Review]

Hot Damn! Crossing the Line Series by Tessa Bailey [Audiobook Review]

Hot damn, the Crossing the Line series was awesome overall! I actually binge-listened this series (not in order, mind you) and it was good. Overall, I gave this series 4/5 hearts, but each individual book has a rating range of 3-4 hearts. The Crossing the Line series has a 60-40 balance between suspense and romance, where romance gets the largest chunk of each of the books. This is exactly what I love! I do wish there was more action in the books, though. Also, I love all the female heroes are unique in their own way, kick-ass and have baggage! It’s refreshing since […]

There’s an adorable dog! Plus an alpha male and sexy times! Follow by Tessa Bailey [Audiobook Review]

There’s an adorable dog! Plus an alpha male and sexy times! Follow by Tessa Bailey [Audiobook Review]

Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. If you have been stalking me on social media, you will know that Follow is the first book that started my Tessa Bailey binge in the last couple of months. Why? Because Tessa Bailey is AMAZING! Follow took me by surprise. I actually picked this book up when it was recommended in one of my book club groups and I immediately went to check the library if it was available. It was! And I didn’t regret my decision. What I love about Follow is that this features a heroine who is not […]

HOT Suspense! Nobody Does It Better by Lexi Blake [ARC Review]

HOT Suspense! Nobody Does It Better by Lexi Blake [ARC Review]

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Holy hotness! I just finished reading Nobody Does it Better by Lexi Blake and OMG! How shockingly delicious is it?! This is the first book I read by Lexi Blake and I found out that this is the FIFTEENTH book in her Masters and Mercenaries Series my jaw basically dropped. Does this mean I have to read the other 14 books, plus the various novellas? Also, How cheeky are the titles of this series?! I love puns […]

Who Would’ve Guessed that I would LOVE Paranormal Steampunk? The Falconer by Elizabeth May Audiobook Review

Who Would’ve Guessed that I would LOVE Paranormal Steampunk? The Falconer by Elizabeth May Audiobook Review

Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. Well, well, well, well. Who would’ve thought that I would enjoy The Falconer so much? The fae, that’s who! *wink I believe this is the very first steampunk paranormal book that BLEW ME AWAY! Yes, it’s that AMAZING! Sure, I enjoyed The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare but that series does not come CLOSE to the amazingness that is The Falconer! The Falconer checked all the boxes for me. Awesome female character? Check! Anti-heroish mysterious character? Check! Spunky, comedic character? Check! Minimal romance? Check! Set in the […]

When the Beast Remains A Beast For All Time A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas Book Review

When the Beast Remains A Beast For All Time A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas Book Review

Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. I’m finally taking the time to review ACoTaR!  I mean, it’s been a few weeks since I finished reading this book and I’m still left speechless.  Because the LAST FEW CHAPTERS!  OMG! OMG?!  What do you mean OMG?! Well, just what I said.  The last few chapters of ACoTaR decimated me.  In a good way and a bad way.  ACoTaR was a pretty slow start for me.  I guess it was because SJ Maas was setting up the whole world. Oh?  So back up.  What is this […]

Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas | Audiobook Review

Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas | Audiobook Review

MY THOUGHTS Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. I’m finally reviewing Heir of Fire, the third book in the Throne of Glass series and it is just as devastating as Crown of Midnight! There are revelations and DEATHS and creatures – monsters! And I’m also talking about HUMAN monsters. Devastating? AGAIN? Well, the first half of Heir of Fire started out a little slow for my taste. Mostly because we are now given a few info dumps (that aren’t really info dumps because SJMaas is just BRILLIANT!) about Wendelin and the Fae. We […]

If […]
