Pag-Ibig: A Filipino-American Romance Panel

Pag-Ibig: A Filipino-American Romance Panel

Let’s talk about anything bookish!   Happy Monday, Wormies! I finally survivedย the first romance panel that I moderated!ย Yes, there was a lot of fangirling involved! A few months ago, I was asked by these amazing authors: Mia Hopkins, Maida Malby, Tif Marcelo, and Sarah Smith to moderate their panel atย The Ripped Bodice.ย It was an honor to moderate this panel because all these ladies are Filipino-American authors writing about characters of color and representing the Filipino, and Filipino-American culture!   We had an amazing time talking about books, romance and Filipino & Filipino American representation in literature. I love that everyone […]

This was an extremely exhausting month! June 2019 Monthly Wraps

Last month on I Heart Romance & YA Happy new month, Wormies! I am currently blogging in Vegas right now and man, did I need this short weekend getaway! Although, I have been really traveling a lot for work this month. In fact, I landed in Burbank on Friday and left Burbank again for Vegas on Saturday. Yeah, I’m such a jet setter right now. Note the sarcasm. A lot of things happened IRL to me in the month of June. While I won’t discuss the particulars, I just want to say that life is extremely unpredictable. I didn’t read […]

Badly Explain Your Favorite Books

Badly Explain Your Favorite Books

Let’s talk about anything bookish!   How do you explain your favorite books to someone who hasn’t read them yet? Do you go into great detail about the plot, the charactersย the conflict? Or you just tell them that the book is good and to read the blurb? Well, someone on my online book clubย OSRBC (Old School Romance Book Club) asked everyone to badly explain their favorite books. I joined in and I had so much fun writing them. Which brings me to the topic of this blog post. I will be sharing 10 of my favorite books and will badly […]

Budget Bookworm: Two Library Apps I Use Regularly

Budget Bookworm: Two Library Apps I Use Regularly

Saving moolah on awesome reads! Happyย National Library Week! For bookworms, this week is the chance to say thank you to the awesome institution that is the public library system and the librarians who run them! As someone who grew up in a country where the public library system isn’t as developed as the US, I cannot begin to express my thanks to this system. I am one bookworm that uses the LA Public Library System to it’s fullest. I fact, LAPL has saved me a lot of money! I regularly borrow ebooks and audiobooks digitally and never have to step […]

Currently Reading Week 18

Sharing my thoughts on this weeks’ reads Happy Sunday, Wormies! It’s been 4 weeks since I last posted aย Currently Reading post! Although I have been reading a lot in the last couple of months, that was also the time where I didn’t even want to go online or even blog. Sad, I know. This year has been hard for me. On a good note, I already reached my goal of 100 BOOKS read this year! Whooop! This means I can review more, yeah? I am currently listening toย The Duke and I narrated by Rosalyn Landor and I have to say […]

Currently Reading Week 6

Currently Reading Week 6

Sharing my thoughts on this weeks’ reads Happy Sunday, Wormies! This week was AMAZING! I mean, what withย Beauty and the Beast finally in theaters and it was AWESOME! Definitely the best live action fairy tale ever, even BETTER thanย Maleficent! Although it has its problems, but I was hit with a LOT of nostalgia! I also read 6 books in the last couple of weeks so I think I am in a good place. I am actually 13 books ahead of schedule for my reading challenge so I am feeling pretty good about my pacing. For Review Purchased Crystal @ Crystal […]

Ten Books On My Spring TBR that I Can’t Wait to Read

Oh, and by the way, the images are linked toย Goodreads because I am not lazy today! ๐Ÿ™‚ The Day of the Duchess by […]

Do You Ever Proofread Your Posts?

Do You Ever Proofread Your Posts?

Let’s talk about anything bookish! I recently re-read a few of my older posts (and even recent ones), and I discovered SIGNIFICANTย errors! Errors in grammar, spelling, and even missing words! When I find these errors, I immediately edit said post while tamping down my embarrassment. Now, this got me to thinking. How often to we really proof read our posts before it goes live? I mean, I have seen legit publications and news sites publish something that looks like it was never proofread! Or maybe if it did, it just fell through the cracks and got missed? Maybe? Which again […]
