Indecent Exposure by Tessa Bailey | DNF Review

Indecent Exposure by Tessa Bailey | DNF Review

I received this book for free from the Publisher via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. When I read Disorderly Conduct, the first book in the series, I was delightfully surprised! In fact, I went ahead and requested the second book, Indecent Exposure because Jack Garrett was very interesting and what do you know, the second book is his HEA. But no! This book was an utter disappointment! Where was the charm? Where was the explosive chemistry that I was expecting? Gone. Nada. Zilch. Also, […]

Starfall by Melissa Landers | DNF Review

Starfall by Melissa Landers | DNF Review

I am finally DNFing Starfall because OMG the heroine is super annoying and the hero is so beta that I can’t even! It has been a few months since I put this book on hold and the recent restart still did not help at all! I enjoyed Starflight, the first book in the series. The banter was spot on and the characters were amazing! But Starfall totally missed the mark and did not have the same charm as that of the previous book. I eventually had to DNF the audiobook because I just couldn’t listen to Cassia anymore. She was […]

My Most Anticipated Romance Turned into a Disappointment | The Scandal of it All by Sophie Jordan

I received this book for free from the Publisher via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.   Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. What was one of my most anticipated books of the year turned out into a complete fail! I really, really wanted to love this book so much, but I just can’t! As much as I love Sophie Jordan, I was thoroughly disappointed by The Scandal of it All. There were no stakes at all! I […]

Insta-love at its WORST! The Fairest of Them All by Cathy Maxwell Audiobook Review

Insta-love at its WORST! The Fairest of Them All by Cathy Maxwell Audiobook Review

Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. I honestly don’t know where to start reviewing The Fairest of Them All. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement. I am INFURIATED. Okay, I’d like to explain why my feelings are this… harsh. I absolutely HATE insta-love! Sure, there are books that can do this well, but this was NOT it! There is just too much insta-love in this book that I cannot… ARRGHH!! Sigh. Another reason why I am extremely disappointed is because The Fairest of Them All made my books pubbed in 2016 […]

How to Lose a Lord in 10 Days or Less by Elizabeth Michels | Book Review

How to Lose a Lord in 10 Days or Less by Elizabeth Michels | Book Review

My Thoughts How to Lose a Lord in 10 Days or Less is the first book by Elizabeth Michels that I read.  This book is the third of the series but can read as a standalone.  I initially picked up this book because I had read a couple of books with the same title (or very, very similar) last month and I loved it!  I thought that this book would be the same.  The story focuses on a stuffy aristocrat, Andrew Clifton, Lord Amberstall and country girl recluse, Katie Moore.  Both have been a little estranged in society and found each […]

Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke’s Heart by Sarah MacLean | Book Review

Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke’s Heart by Sarah MacLean | Book Review

My Thoughts “A little bit frustrating but ok” Eleven Scandals is the third book in the Love by Numbers series and it features Juliana Fiori and Simon Pearson, Duke of Leighton (we know him as the fiance of Lady Penelope in A Rogue by Any Other Name). In Eleven Scandals, we find out the real reason why Simon is averse to scandal. His younger sister is actually embroiled in a scandal herself and he plans to wed before the ton gets a whiff of it. Enter Lady Penelope Marbury (read my review for A Rogue by Any Other Name), who is […]
