Top Ten Tuesday: My Most Anticipated Releases For The Second Half Of The Year

Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish Happy Tuesday, Bookworms!  I’m slowwwwly recovering from my cold!  Yay!  I will be busy at work this week though so I hope I can schedule a few posts to cover for my crazy week.  Although I’ve been posting more regularly now, I haven’t been reviewing a lot of books at the moment.  I know.  Horrible of me. Anyway, let’s move on to the topic at hand!  And this is the best one because I will be sharing my most anticipated releases for the second half of the year!  And as always, I will […]

Top Ten Tuesday: Historical Romance Summer Reads

Top Ten Tuesday: Historical Romance Summer Reads

Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish Happy Tuesday, Bookworms!  And you know what happens on Tuesdays, right?  It’s Top Ten Tuesday!  I decided to share Historical Romance books that would be perfect for summer reading.  I’ve been pretty lax with my HR reading, so this summer, I am proposing to read more HR books! These are the books that I will be reading this summer! Because of Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinn – One of my favorite tropes is the love-hate relationship and this book sounds absolutely interesting.  Plus, it’s Julia Quinn and it’s the Bridgerton’s!  I have a feeling that this book […]

Bookish Discussion: Fictional & Non-Fictional Places I Want to Visit

Bookish Discussion: Fictional & Non-Fictional Places I Want to Visit

Let’s talk about anything bookish! I love to travel but unfortunately, I haven’t done much traveling in the last 10 years.  The reason being is that every time I (we) go on vacation, it was always back home in the Philippines.  Not that I am complaining, but it would have been awesome to go somewhere else!  Oh, and did I mention that Pierre doesn’t really like to travel as much?  Maybe because he travels for work.  But still! So to indulge my love for traveling, I read.  A LOT.  And I always get transported to magical and fantastical worlds, or even […]

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Enjoyed More on My Second Reading

Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish Happy Tuesday, everyone!  I feel like it has been ages since I last posted a Top Ten Tuesday post!  No matter, I am here this week with a new list! This is a topic that I really wanted to do because I am guilty of DNFing a book too soon and because of that, I miss out on these awesome books!  This week, I am giving you a list of books that I enjoyed the second time I read them!  As I’ve said, some are DNFs and some didn’t impress me the first time around (does that […]

Bookish Discussions: Do You Read Books on a Whim?

Bookish Discussions: Do You Read Books on a Whim?

Let’s talk about anything bookish! Halllooooo everyone!  Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to write my TTT post last week so I am doing one RIGHT NOW!  It’s unusual, I know but I really wanted to write this post so much!  Well, last week was pretty hectic since it was Pierre’s last weekend before leaving for the Gulf of Mexico so we spent time binge watching BBC’s Sherlock! This topic is near and dear to me because I have discovered awesome books by just picking it up!  Which brings me to the discussion at hand.  I’ve only just recently (about 3 years now) started […]

Currently Reading Ep 6

Sharing my thoughts on this weeks’ reads Hello, dear readers!  Please forgive my absence because I am still in a slump!  I am trying my best to get out of it, though and I think it is working a little bit!  YAY for positivity! On a really good note, I did a lot of reading (well a bit) so I have been pretty productive! I also saw Studio Ghibli’s Howl’s Moving Castle!  It was really unique!  Loved it even though it is different from the book!  I really think they captured the charm of the book! Now, let’s take a look […]

Currently Reading Ep 5

Sharing my thoughts on this weeks’ reads Hello, all!  I am currently recuperating from all my April bookish activities and I must say I am enjoying the downtime.  Pierre is also home for another 2 weeks, so I am spending as much time with him as I can! On that note, we were able to go see two movies this weekend: The Avengers Civil War and The Jungle Book.  I thoroughly enjoyed Civil War so much that it totally erased the horror that was Batman vs Superman Dawn of Justice (the only thing I can say about that movie is WONDER WOMAN!).  The Jungle Book was […]
