Last month on I Heart Romance & YA
Hello, fellow Wormies! Did you notice something different with my blog? YES! I finally caved and modified it a bit! I just had this convo between Malia @ Romance Shmomance and I told her that I am a creature of habit. So. While my blog has been modified, it still has the same look, with only slight changes! More on this will be on another blog post.
I have updated my blog header and basically renamed my blog, or used my original name I Heart Romance. While I will still continue to review Young Adult books, my blog mostly focuses on the romance genre, so I am keeping it this way. Who knows, maybe I will change it back at a later date. I am still keeping my social media accounts the same and have not changed anything.
Want to see my header changes? Sadly, I don’t have a copy of the really old ones!
header from 2014
header from 2016
header from mid-2016
header from late-2016 to 2019
OMG! The evolution is just amazing to see, right? I think my earlier headers were a bit tacky, which explains why I didn’t keep a copy of them.
Weird Reads for Halloween
If you have been following me on Bookstagram, you will know that I thought that I goofed and thought that Halloween was only a week away! Pierre was giving me grief about that because I totally missed his birthday. Well, in my mind anyway!
So, I started sharing Halloween romance recommendations and books that I wanted to read that had a creepy or otherworldly vibe. This resulted in me reading a bunch of alien romance recommended by all you beautiful romance readers! So, I’m definitely starting to read weirder sci-fi and paranormal reads!
BaeCrate September 2019 Unboxing
I also did my first unboxing with video with music and everything. LOL I feel like I accomplished a lot! I need an award for this! If you guys want to see the unboxing vid, just head to my Instagram account and click on the IGTV icon and watch the latest vid.
This is a box that I purchased before I became a rep, but you can use my code for any box.
Also, use my rep code IHEARTROM5 to save on your next box!
Read a Romance Blog
My Read a Romance Blog feature has now started and I have two of my favorite people featured! If you haven’t, please stop by because they are sharing the very first book that got them into reading romance!
|Anne @ Glimpses of My Books||Sam @ The Book Disciple|
I finally read 92 books this year! I’m a bit excited because it felt like I was reading really slowly this year. That’s okay, but sometimes I get anxious because – all the books!
However, this month resulted in a few more DNF reads. I’m a bit sad that some of the recommendations by reliable sources have been some of those that I DNF’d.
I’ve been doing great with my other challenges! I need to work on my discussions, though! This may be something I want to think about for Blogtober, not that I am going to officially join the challenge, but I will try to blog more this month! Wish me luck!
I’m picking two must-reads for the month of September! Promise of Darkness is an amazing fae fantasy romance and On Dublin Street is one amazing and heartbreaking contemporary romance! I’m really enjoying reading backlist books, so keep the recommendations coming!
