Once More, My Darling Rogue by Lorraine Heath | Book Review + Giveaway

Once More, My Darling Rogue by Lorraine Heath | Book Review + Giveaway

MY THOUGHTS Warning: This review may contain spoilers Once More, My Darling Rogue is the second book in the Scoundrels of St. James series by Lorraine Heath and focuses on Drake Darling and Lady Ophelia Lyttleton.  We meet both of these characters in the first book When the Duke was Wicked since Lady Ophelia is Lady Grace’s best friend.  We should also note that Drake Darling is that little boy Frannie and Sterling adopted in Surrender to the Devil who was then known as Peter Sykes. Let me start to say this book is very emotional since it touches on subjects […]

Wed at Leisure by Sabrina Darby | Book Review

Wed at Leisure by Sabrina Darby | Book Review

My Thoughts Wed at Leisure is the second book in the Taming series by Sabrina Darby and tells the story of Kate Mansfield, the mean sister in Woo’d in Haste. This time, we will find the true reason why Kate was mean to her sister Bianca. We also see glimpses of Kate’s past with Peter Colburn, the Duke of Orland, their neighbor. This is the first book that I read by Sabrina Darby.  Unfortunately, I didn’t really enjoy it as much.  Maybe owing to the “live at first sight” trope.  Now, don’t get me wrong, I do love a […]

Sapphires are an Earl’s Best Friend by Shana Galen | Book Review

Sapphires are an Earl’s Best Friend by Shana Galen | Book Review

My Thoughts “A page-turning tale of mystery and espionage” Sapphires are an Earl’s Best Friend is the third book in Shana Galen’s Jewels of the Ton series and focuses on Lily Dawson’s HEA. I enjoyed reading about Lily’s backstory. The story starts off with Lily (as a child) who was obviously intrigued by her father’s work. Her father is also a spy. Despite growing up in a loving family, she makes a mistake and is thrown out of the family home and is rescued by Lord Sinclair and his wife. I was very curious about Lily’s backstory since I read […]
