I Wanted More Heat! Losing It & Keeping Her by Cora Carmack [Audiobook Review]

I Wanted More Heat! Losing It & Keeping Her by Cora Carmack [Audiobook Review]

This is the first book that I read written by Cora Carmack and I enjoyed it! This is another taboo romance because the hero is her professor but he is also not that much older than the heroine. The good thing about this romance is that they didn’t really “hookup” until AFTER the heroine’s graduation! Losing It was a perfect New Adult listen for me during the holidays because it was pretty short and sweet. Although, I wanted there to be more heat and sexy times! So yeah, this book felt too sweet for the New Adult romances that I had been […]

Opposites Attract | Rule by Jay Crownover [Audiobook Review]

Opposites Attract | Rule by Jay Crownover [Audiobook Review]

Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review.   Rule was another surprising read in 2017 when I was on a New Adult kick. I had read Jay Crownover before when I read her Welcome to the Point series. Rule is a little bit different than her Welcome to the Point series because it is a New Adult romance – but it was still dark and emotional. Rule is a typical hate-to-love-girl-in-love-with-best-friend’s-brother trope but I liked the new spin Jay Crownover injected into it. In Love with Best Friend’s Brother This is one of my […]

Heartbreaking and Real | Wait for You, Trust in Me by Jennifer L. Armentrout [Audiobook Review]

Heartbreaking and Real | Wait for You, Trust in Me by Jennifer L. Armentrout [Audiobook Review]

Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. I don’t really know what made me pick-up wait for you by Jennifer L. Armentrout (writing as J. Lynn). To be honest, I received four of the books in this series a couple of years ago but since this wasn’t a genre that interested me, I didn’t bother reading it. Let’s just say that I am kicking myself because I didn’t read these books. I don’t even KNOW WHY I picked it up and whatever fairy impelled me to pick it up, THANK YOU SO MUCH […]

Sexy, Sexy, Sexy! Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren [Audiobook Review]

Sexy, Sexy, Sexy! Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren [Audiobook Review]

Don’t want to read the whole review?  Click to jump to the Skinny Review. This is the second book written by duo writing team Christina Lauren that I read, and I was a bit skeptical. Sure, it felt a little too NA and I was pretty annoyed at the first quarter of the book – the Vegas part because it was just too stupid! I mean, not stupid, STUPID but stupid because I know I would totally not do what these girls did. Also, because I am an introvert, I just CANNOT understand marrying a stranger like that. That said, […]

Romance Nicely Done! Forever With You by Beverley Kendall Spoiler Book Review

Romance Nicely Done! Forever With You by Beverley Kendall Spoiler Book Review

I received this book for free from the Author via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.   WOW! What a way to handle a romance that would normally raise eyebrows! Forever With You hit me in all the right places. That is, this book really, REALLY draws close to home so I may be a little bit biased here. Before I can review this book, I want to let you know that there WILL BE SPOILERS here. I feel that with the central plot, I won’t […]

Perfect Love by Amanda Cowen Review + Giveaway

Perfect Love by Amanda Cowen Review + Giveaway

I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.   So, I’m not really a fan of sports romance and contemporary romance in general but the blurb for Perfect Love intrigued me. Boy, was I surprised! And I mean this in a good way! I was also lucky to read Perfect Sense in preparation to reading this book and I recommend that you read it first before diving into this book. Let me just say that I absolutely HATED the end of Perfect Sense […]

Taking a fortifying breath that did nothing to fortify, she scrolled through her texts to find the number that had shown up last night. The words were short and to the point. I’ll pick you up at the airport. Nothing there to tell what kind of man she’d ended up with, and she’d been too […]

The Beautiful Ashes by Jeaniene Frost | Audiobook Review

The Beautiful Ashes by Jeaniene Frost | Audiobook Review

The Beautiful Ashes by Jeaniene Frost is her first YA novel.  I have been putting off reviewing this book for a few months because Jeaniene Frost is one of my favorite authors and this book was a huge disappointment to me. What is it about? The Beautiful Ashes is about a young teen (adopted) who has the power to see otherworldly things (i.e. ghosts, different places not seen by other normal humans).  When her sister is kidnapped and her foster parents die of a car accident, Ivy is left alone and vows to find out what happened.  Because of her investigations, […]

Wild by Sophie Jordan Tour + Giveaway

Wild by Sophie Jordan Tour + Giveaway

Sophie Jordan is one author that I have read in multiple genres.  From her historical romances, young adult and now, new adult, I have enjoyed the diversity of this author. Wild, is the last book in the Ivy Chronicles series and is the first NA book that I read by Ms. Jordan.  I was actually blown away by how sizzling this book really is!  It also features a younger, more experienced hero.  Delish!  Want to know more about what I think?  Read my review here! Excerpt   “I gotta go,” I said hurriedly, turning to walk around the Jeep, ready […]
