Waking Up with the Duke by Lorraine Heath | Re-read Audiobook Review

Waking Up with the Duke by Lorraine Heath | Re-read Audiobook Review

MY THOUGHTS   TIMES READ I have read this book multiple times already but this is the first time I listened to it via audiobook.   WHEN I FIRST READ I purchased the paperback way back when it was released in 2011.  Of course, my copy was left in the Ph where all my physical books are (yes, I’m pretty sad about that).   ORIGINAL REVIEW I wasn’t really reviewing books back then so I haven’t really written an actual review for this book but I remember that I LOVED it so much.  Initially, I was a little iffy about the […]

His Forbidden Touch by Shelly Thacker | Audiobook Review

His Forbidden Touch by Shelly Thacker | Audiobook Review

My Thoughts “Re-read multiple times.  First listen.  One of my faves.” Would you believe that I carted this book from the Philippines to Los Angeles?  I actually have my battered copy with me right now.  I know it’s a little worn out but believe me when I tell you that it is so because I have been re-reading this book multiple times?  Well, a couple of weeks ago, I won an audiobook copy of His Forbidden Touch and decided to listen to it.  Immediately.  This took on a whole new experience for me. Chalons and Thuringia were at war for seven […]

Betrothed by Elizabeth Elliott | Book Review

Betrothed by Elizabeth Elliott | Book Review

Another favorite!  I obtained this book while browsing a local second hand bookstore back in the Philippines and bought it when it became available via ebook.  Sadly, I left my paperback in the PH and hopefully, it will still remain in good shape. This book starts off with Baron Guy of Montague arriving at Halford Hall and spotting Lady Claudia.  Guy is immediately intrigued by her and plans to make her his bride.  That is, until Baron Lonsdale hatches a plot to keep Guy from obtaining Halford Hall at a fair price.  Unfortunately, this plot ends up with Guy and […]

Stranger in My Arms by Lisa Kleypas | Book Review

Stranger in My Arms by Lisa Kleypas | Book Review

I have read and re-read this book multiple times and it has never failed to entertain me.  I love the story and to be honest, I have read at least once in each book cover design.  Here are the covers: This is a unique story, I thought and I never expected the twist in the end when it was revealed who the real Hunter was.  When it was revealed that the stranger was Hunter’s half brother, I felt that it was a little bit unsettling to a certain extent but I still enjoyed reading this story. The story starts off […]

My Fair Mistress by Tracy Anne Warren | Book Review

My Fair Mistress by Tracy Anne Warren | Book Review

This is perhaps one of my favorite books by Tracy Anne Warren.  In fact, I believe this was the first book that I have read from her and she has become one of my auto-buy authors ever since.  I have probably read this book about 5 times and I just love it.  It’s like every time I read it, I get sucked into the romance between Rafe and Julianna. The way Miss Warren weaves in romance, love, and lust in the book is believable in a sense that as a reader, you would think that this kind of situation would really happen in […]

Then Came You by Lisa Kleypas | Book Review

Then Came You by Lisa Kleypas | Book Review

MY THOUGHTS I read the Dreaming of You first and was intrigued by Lily Lawson. In the book Dreaming of You, she was portrayed as a respectable lady albeit with a dubious past. In the first few chapters, I wasn’t warming up to Lily as I should. I thought her antics (especially the one mentioned in the first chapter) were ridiculous. However, as the story progressed, I empathized with her. The hero, Alex Raiford, is not as dark as Derek Craven (who I absolutely love) however, I think he is the perfect match to Lily’s headstrong character. I enjoyed reading the […]

How to Woo a Reluctant Lady by Sabrina Jeffries | Book Review

How to Woo a Reluctant Lady by Sabrina Jeffries | Book Review

MY THOUGHTS Giles and Minerva are the perfect pair! The third book in the Hellions of Halstead Hall series is one if my favorites. Miranda starts falling in love with Giles as a young child during her parent’s death, however, falls out of love when Giles gave her the set down in her teens. Because of this, Minerva started writing serials with Giles as the villain. Giles had to put a stop to it as she was starting to allude to Giles’ undercover duties to the Crown. Although Minerva denies her feelings for Giles, she hasn’t stopped loving him I […]
