Searching For Series by Jennifer Probst | Audiobook Review

Searching For Series by Jennifer Probst | Audiobook Review

It’s pretty obvious that I have been hooked to Contemporary Romance for the last month. I blame Sophie Jordan for this! Not, that I am super mad or anything but I am feeling the LOVE! To be honest, I haven’t been reading a lot of contemporaries. The first ones I read were a few chick lits and some thriller/romantic suspense (that was more on the romance side), and of course contemporary erotic romances. But honestly, I wasn’t really hooked. Well, until NOW! I honestly am NOT looking back! And yes, I have read quite a few contemporaries since I finished reading this series! Don’t […]

Unearthly by Cynthia Hand | Audiobook Re-Read Review

Unearthly by Cynthia Hand | Audiobook Re-Read Review

MY THOUGHTS I read Unearthly last year but did not get a chance to do a full review.  I re-listened to the audiobook on Scribd (love this subscription, BTW) and fell in love with the story again.  Initially, I was not expecting to like the story.  I had already read a couple of “angels” books (read Fallen by Lauren Kate and Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins) and I was not into it.  With those two books in mind, I was pretty apprehensive with Unearthly.  Plus, the washed out cover didn’t really capture my interest but since I run out of reading material, I decided to […]

Waking Up with the Duke by Lorraine Heath | Re-read Audiobook Review

Waking Up with the Duke by Lorraine Heath | Re-read Audiobook Review

MY THOUGHTS   TIMES READ I have read this book multiple times already but this is the first time I listened to it via audiobook.   WHEN I FIRST READ I purchased the paperback way back when it was released in 2011.  Of course, my copy was left in the Ph where all my physical books are (yes, I’m pretty sad about that).   ORIGINAL REVIEW I wasn’t really reviewing books back then so I haven’t really written an actual review for this book but I remember that I LOVED it so much.  Initially, I was a little iffy about the […]

Cress by Marissa Meyer | Audiobook Review

Cress by Marissa Meyer | Audiobook Review

Before starting my review, I would like to apologize to my readers for posting a blank post for this review a few weeks back.  With my pending vacation (I am still on said vacay), I was unaware that I set this review to post when I haven’t even written it!  So, please pardon my flightiness! My Thoughts Warning: This review may contain spoilers Since I read Scarlet, I have been super excited to read Cress because let’s face it, Thorn is a very interesting character!  In fact, I was hoping that Thorn would be the hero in this book.  I was not […]

How the Scoundrel Seduces by Sabrina Jeffries | Book Review

How the Scoundrel Seduces by Sabrina Jeffries | Book Review

My Thoughts How the Scoundrel Seduces is the third book in Sabrina Jeffries’ The Duke’s Men series (Book 1:  What the Duke Desires & Book 2: When the Rogue Returns) and tells the story of Tristan Bonnaud and Zoe Keane integrating colorful secondary characters and the interesting Romany – or the gypsies. Lady Zoe Keane is set to inherit her father, the Earl of Olivier’s properties but she discovers a secret.  She might not be the Earl’s daughter after all!  She asks the aid of Manton Investigations (aka The Duke’s Men, referenced in When the Rogue Returns) to help her […]

Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare | Audiobook Review

Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare | Audiobook Review

My Thoughts Tessa Dare has done it again!  Romancing the Duke, the first book in her Castles Ever After series is an awesome read!  I have been reading Tessa Dare’s backlist and I must say she has become an auto-click author for me! Romancing the Duke is about Isolde Goodnight, a daughter of a well-known children’s author who has been gifted a castle by her godfather.  She has been left destitute by her father and had nowhere to go until she got word about her inheritance.  She immediately embarks on a journey to claim her castle without knowing that said […]

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins | Audiobook Review

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins | Audiobook Review

My Thoughts “Let the 75th Hunger Games begin!” There is a lot to say about Catching Fire that I do not know where to begin.  This book is a precursor of the things to come in the next book, Mockingjay and it also lays the groundwork for the rebellion. I could not stop listening to this book.  Not only is it amazingly written, I get to know all the characters more.  Katniss, Peeta, Gayle and Haymitch all reveal their characters here.  I also love the little hints sprinkled throughout the first part of the book, giving us a hint of what […]
