This was a very quick and refreshing read for me. I actually enjoyed the story despite thinking the female protagonist to be a bit dense but I guess, the author had to use someone who wasn’t as tech savvy as the male protagonist. Despite that issue, I enjoyed it and read it in just one sitting. Noah Frellish, Billionaire CEO, helps Michelle Kolson one night while she was working late. He introduces himself as “Sark” (his gaming handle), when he sees that the new employee doesn’t recognize him. Michelle, on the other hand, finds herself attracted to this geek and […]

Book one of Jess Michaels’ new Pleasure Wars series is a steamy erotic Romeo and Juliet type of romance perfect for your summer reading! I got the ARC from the author herself and loved it! I have read it twice already and I am still getting blown away! The books starts with Christian Rothcastle is in hot pursuit of Liam Windbury and his sister Matilda. The chase ends when there is a serious accident with both men injured and Matilda, dead. Christian holds Liam responsible for his sister’s death, vows vengeance and the feud is back, as hot as ever. […]
A Little Bit Sinful is the first book that I read written by Robyn Dehart and it turned out to be a refreshing read to me as well. This is also the second book in the series and I think it did well as a stand alone, seeing as I had not read the first book yet.
This story centers on Clarissa trying to steer her “perfect match” George, into proposing marriage to her. Unfortunately, it has taken him quite a while to propose and Clarissa is getting antsy.
I thought the start of the story was very interesting. I liked Veronique’s spunk and I actually started to fall for prince charming, Nicholas! I loved the part where they were talking on either side of the door. Unfortunately, once the big secret was revealed, the story turned out to be very convenient and predictable. While Nicholas saved Veronique and her family, he didn’t really show her his love. I thought their love turned out to be pretty superficial.
MY THOUGHTS This story was a slow start for me. I struggled a little through the whole book and there were a few times that I had to put the book down and then pick it up after a few hours. I did enjoy the romance between Emily and Will and I thought they were a perfect match. Emily’s strength of character and kindness was the perfect salve for Will’s hatred and vengeance. I was a little bit irritated with Emily’s attitude towards Nicholas and their arranged marriage. Also, I couldn’t understand the change in Nicholas. I mean, if he […]
This novella was a very quick read for me. I was able to read it in a couple of hours or so. While this had a very promising plot, I thought the story was ok. Maybe because it is a novella and the author had to shorten the storyline – it just didn’t work for me. I like my romance to be well developed and not a lust at first sight type of thing. Normally, I shy away from novellas because of this reason. However, I love Sabrina Jeffries’ work so I decided to give this a shot. The story […]
Mary Hart Perry is a new to me author and Seducing the Princess is the first book that I read. I was thoroughly blown away! I loved reading about Queen Victoria’s youngest daughter, Princess Beatrice. Of course, I did a quick google search on her to read more about her and her life with the Queen. I am amazed at how the author seamlessly intertwined Princess Beatrice’s story with the facts surrounding her love match with Henry Battenberg. The story was well written and I empathized with Princess Beatrice. Queen Victoria really seemed like the villain of the story. I can just imagine […]
This is Ashlyn Macnamera’s debut novel so she is definitely a new to me author. Don’t get me wrong, I do love to read new to me authors. In fact, I have discovered a lot of awesome authors this way. However, this story just missed the mark. I read the book knowing this was going to be about Miss Julia St. Claire but instead, I was reading about the sister Sophia meeting another guy! I mean, I just barely started reading and by the time I reached Chapter 3, I was totally confused about where this story was headed. True, […]
