Bookish Discussions: When Favorite Authors Disappoint

Bookish Discussions: When Favorite Authors Disappoint

Don’t you just hate it when your favorite author’s new book disappoints? Picture this: Your favorite author has a book coming up.  You pre-order it.  You anticipate the release for months and months.  You AVOID reading spoilers.  You are able to get an ARC/eARC of the book.  You read it.  And then…. you end up getting disappointed by the story, the plot, the characters.  You think it’s a FLUKE.  You can’t wait to read the next book in the series.  You pre-order it.  You anticipate the release for months and months.  You AVOID reading spoilers.  You are able […]

Legend by Marie Lu | Audiobook Review

Legend by Marie Lu | Audiobook Review

MY THOUGHTS “A surprising read!” I really didn’t have any expectations when I started reading this book.  In fact, I thought it was going to be another Divergent/Hunger Games dystopia book and thought it would be too cookie-cutter for my taste.  BUT I was really surprised that I enjoyed it!  Sure, there were a few flaws that made me rate it 4 stars but….. The Widow Wager by Jess Michaels | Book Review

The Widow Wager by Jess Michaels | Book Review

I received this book for free from the Publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Top Ten Tuesday: Books I’d Love To See As Movies/TV Shows

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I’d Love To See As Movies/TV Shows

Hosted by The Broke and The Bookish I’m starting Tope Ten Tuesday again and I thought this was an awesome topic since I have been reading a bunch of books that I really, REALLY want to see on the BIG and SMALL screens.  I will not mention possible actors, though because my imagination CAN’T pick anyone in Hollywood to play my favorite characters.  Oh, and I am also ONLY picking books that I have personally read. For the Small Screen The Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost is ONE AWESOME SERIES!  I just can’t get enough of it and I […]

Monthly Wrap Ups: May 2015

Monthly Wrap Ups: May 2015

Last Month on I Heart Romance I wrote A LOT of reviews this month.  Which is AWESOME!  I have updated most of my challenges and I have also read a little bit more.  I’m probably not holding my breath at all at this new development but I am hoping that I will be able to continue with thus trend – it really makes me feel super accomplished, yeah? My next goal would be to visit and comment on the blogs that I follow.  Sure, I have a lot that I subscribe via email (because it IS easier to follow) but I do […]
