Top Ten Tuesday: 5 Most Anticipated Debut Novels For 2015

Hosted by The Broke and The Bookish So, I am not THAT familiar with my historical romance debuts this year (because there is no listopia on Goodreads for this) so I decided to do an YA list. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir – this has a very interesting premise The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall – I really enjoyed the Da Vinci Code and this is supposed to be a “YA Da Vinci Code” so I am hoping it would be good! A Wicked Thing by Rhiannon Thomas – a re-telling of Sleeping Beauty, this should […]

2014 Year in [Book] Review

2014 Year in [Book] Review

I know I did the bookish survey by Jamie @ The Perpetual Page Turner but I wanted to make my own short Year in Review based on last years’ review.  I did pretty well this year because I read 119 books with 41 of those in audiobook format.  I have to say that listening to audiobooks really bumped up my reading stats.  However, I only reviewed 62 of the books and so I need to get more reviews in this year.  Historical romance is still my fave genre but I also see a rise in the YA category! Top 3 Fave […]

Graceling by Kristin Cashore | Audiobook Review

Graceling by Kristin Cashore | Audiobook Review

MY THOUGHTS “This audiobook is freaking awesome!” Have you ever read a book featuring FEMALE assassins?  No, scratch that.  Have you ever read a Young Adult book featuring assassins?  I know I’m late in the game but this is the first YA book that I read featuring female assassins and I was blown away!  This story is amazingly well written and unique!  Plus, this is a stand-alone book and does not end on a cliffhanger!  What’s more, there are no freaking LOVE TRIANGLES!  Just a love between a prince and an assassin.  This book has adventure, magic, romance, courage, danger, […]

My Bookish Christmas Wishlist

My Bookish Christmas Wishlist

This holiday season will mark our first Christmas apart in 2 years.  Boss and I will actually be spending the holidays in different states.  I will be home in SoCal and he will be at work somewhere at the Gulf of Mexico.  It’s sad, I know.   So basically, that almost 1800 miles away.  Which is pretty close compared to the distance from our hometown in the Philippines to LA which is about 7400 miles (this is a long story).  Anyway, to cheer me up, I decided to make a bookish wishlist in hopes that I will find all these goodies […]
