Get to Know the Romance Reader

Let’s talk about anything bookish! Happy Monday, Wormies! I decided to do a tag today because I’m feeling a bit energized! August is Romance Awareness Month and I have been sharing romance recs on my Instagram stories and will continue doing it throughout the month of August! I’m only doing a few a day because I realize that I have a lot of recs! Don’t forget to stop by! I also stumbled upon this book tag when I was watching Francesca at Under the Covers Book Blog Youtube channel. She got the original tag from Bree @ Falling for Romance. What is […]

A Fiery Start to a New Series! The Rogue King by Abigail Owen [ARC Review + Giveaway]

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. I am absolutely in love with this book! The Rogue King is everything I want in my paranormal romance! I mean, it features dragon shifters, phoenixes, and other paranormal beings! As you may have noticed, I have been reading a lot of dragon shifter books, so I picked this up when I read the blurb. I loved the premise and The Rogue King did not disappoint! Our hero is a rogue golden dragon, […]

Favorite Reads in 2019 (So Far)

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl formerly hosted at The Broke and the Bookish   It’s almost the end of July and I’m here to share my favorite reads in 2019 so far! This year has been a whirlwind for me, with a lot of slumps and burnouts! This time last year, I had more favorite reads. Unfortunately, I don’t have as many 5-star reads, at this time. I would also like to add that I am including books that I read for the first time this year even if they were previously published. For a complete list of all […]

Must Have Bookish Apps

Must Have Bookish Apps

Let’s talk about anything bookish! For a few years now, I’ve slowly been moving to digital formats when reading (or listening) to books. I’ve also been listening to audiobooks more, however this year, there’s about an equal split between audio and ebooks. Anyway, I wanted to share my favorite bookish apps that bookworms need to have if you don’t have it already. For Library Readers Libby & Hoopla Apps If you love to read library books, get the Libby app (run by Overdrive) AND the Hoopla app. I wrote detailed descriptions for Libby and Hoopla, so you can go ahead and […]

I don’t want this series to end! All Roads Lead to You by Jennifer Probst [ARC Review]

I don’t want this series to end! All Roads Lead to You by Jennifer Probst [ARC Review]

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. I’ve really enjoyed the Stay series by Jennifer Probst and All Roads Lead to You just hit me in the feels for multiple reasons! We’ve met Harper Bishop in the first book The Start of Something New and I’ve really been intrigued by her. She is the youngest sister in the Bishop family, and she is a veterinarian. And what I really love most about the Stay series are the animals! Hei Hei […]

A Heroine in Disguise! Sins of a Wicked Duke by Sophie Jordan [Book Review]

A Heroine in Disguise! Sins of a Wicked Duke by Sophie Jordan [Book Review]

I seriously had deja vu when I was reading Sins of a Wicked Duke! This is a Sophie Jordan backlist book and I swear I have read it before! Well, I think I read this years ago because I couldn’t exactly remember the plot, but while I was reading it, I felt that I read it before! I really love the premise – a spinster who is not of the aristocracy was fired from another job because she refused the advances of her employers’ son only to meet a rake who propositions her for the same thing! She doesn’t bite but […]

Extreme Bookish Burnout

Extreme Bookish Burnout

Let’s talk about anything bookish! Hello, Wormies! It’s me again and here we are, almost at the end of the 7th month this year and I finally admit that I am in extreme bookish burnout. I even blogged about what to do to get out of this funk but to no avail! I think this has been coming on in the last few months and I have been harping on and on about it. But this time, I have seriously felt it and I am feeling so overwhelmed! It’s not even blogging anymore, but it has seeped into bookstagram and […]

It had an awesome premise! Born to Kill by Erin Trejo [DNF Review]

It had an awesome premise! Born to Kill by Erin Trejo [DNF Review]

My thoughts are probably more on the unpopular side, but I was frustrated by this book. Born to Kill is my first Erin Trejo book and it really put me off. First, I liked the premise – dark romance, unrequited romance, Mafia. I was seriously excited to start reading this book. Unfortunately, I made it to 50%ish before I had to mark it as a DNF. Before I delve into the negatives, I have to say that I liked the danger surrounding the whole story. I liked how Trejo set up the atmosphere of the book with the first few […]
