Currently Reading 2019 Weeks 3-5: Baby, It’s Cold Outside!

Bookish updates in the last 2 weeks   Happy Sunday, Wormies! It’s been raining on and off here in Southern California and it’s pretty cold! If you know me, I absolutely freeze in any temperature below 70 degrees F, so I’ve been basically an icicle! I’ve also been slowly reading books now and I think I made a dent in my TBR pile. I’ve also promised myself not to request ARCs for now and I’ve done a great job, for the most part. I also talked about being in a slump trifecta and I am happy to report that I am […]

Sexy & Fun! Stripped by Zoey Castile [Audiobook Review]

Sexy & Fun! Stripped by Zoey Castile [Audiobook Review]

As someone who hasn’t seen Magic Mike at all, I wasn’t expecting to enjoy reading Stripped. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Of course, this book features an opposites attract romance! Stripped was enjoyable on audio, by the way! And I love that it was written in dual POV! Also, did I mention that I absolutely love the heroine, Robyn?! I think she was the best part of this book, by the way, because I could totally relate to her. Not that Fallon wasn’t good, but his insecurities touched my cynical heart as well. One of the best scenes will probably be […]

What an Explosive Debut! The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty [Audiobook Review]

What an Explosive Debut! The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty [Audiobook Review]

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.   When Avon asked if anyone would be interested in reviewing The Kingdom of Copper, I decided to request it know that it was book 2. I was planning to get book 1 myself until I received m book mail and discovered that they included all two books. Let me tell you, requesting this book was NOT a mistake! The City of Brass was not something that I expected but it really surprised […]

Books I Love But Never Wrote A Review For

Books I Love But Never Wrote A Review For

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl formerly hosted at The Broke and the Bookish   Happy Tuesday, Wormies! Here are a few of my absolutely favorite books that I read prior to Goodreads and book reviewing, hence the no review part! These books are a few of my favorites that I have reread multiple times. As much as I love these books, I just don’t feel the need to review them at all. Maybe I will, in time, after a recent reread. But for now, all these 10 books remain unreviewed. Secret Ways by Kat Martin is […]

I Already Met My 2019 Reading Goal! January 2019 Monthly Wraps

I Already Met My 2019 Reading Goal! January 2019 Monthly Wraps

Last month on I Heart Romance & YA   Happy Friday and welcome February, Wormies! It’s been pretty meh in January because I actually got the trifecta of slumps – blogging, reading, and bookstagramming! Gasp! I know! While I have posted consistently on this blog, the posts had already been scheduled and now, I’m at the point where I won’t have posts to schedule now! Anyway, I am slowly getting out of this rut and I have a few ideas set for next month. January was also the month of achievements! In January, I already met my 2019 Reading Goal of 10 […]

An Amnesia Romance I Can Get Behind! Repeat by Kylie Scott [Audiobook Review]

An Amnesia Romance I Can Get Behind! Repeat by Kylie Scott [Audiobook Review]

I did not know what to expect when I started reading Repeat and I LOVE it! First, I am not a fan of amnesia romances because it’s just an iffy slope, especially if there is some deception involved. And I just want to say that Repeat IS NOT that! Yes, it is about a heroine who has retrograde amnesia and basically lost all her memory. But what differentiates this book from others is the twist – Repeat is a second chance romance! Apparently, the heroine Clementine, and the hero Ed broke up a month before the attack on Clementine, which […]

I’m not As Well Read as You Think

I’m not As Well Read as You Think

Let’s talk about anything bookish!   It’s another Monday, Wormies! It’s another Monday and we have another bookish discussion. This time, I am looking into myself for this one! I have been active on Bookstagram in the last few months and I can’t believe all the books that have been recommended to me! And it is quite astounding that I HAVE NOT READ A LOT OF THESE BOOKS! What? You say. Haven’t you been reading since you were young? Yes! Yes, I have! But honestly, I haven’t been reading as extensively as other readers and there are a few reasons […]

Emotionally Charged and Real! Only A Breath Apart by Katie McGarry [ARC Review]

Emotionally Charged and Real! Only A Breath Apart by Katie McGarry [ARC Review]

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Holy moly, this book! Only a Breath Apart was a test in emotion and angst that I did have a hard time finishing but ultimately enjoyed! Trigger Warning: there is physical, verbal, emotional, and mental abuse in this book. Only a Breath Apart was everything I expected and Katie McGarry did not disappoint! This book touched me in all the right places despite the hard subject matter and tone of the book. I expected angst but […]
