Changes | September 2019 Monthly Wraps

Last month on I Heart Romance & YA   Hello, fellow Wormies! Did you notice something different with my blog? YES! I finally caved and modified it a bit! I just had this convo between Malia @ Romance Shmomance and I told her that I am a creature of habit. So. While my blog has been modified, it still has the same look, with only slight changes! More on this will be on another blog post. I have updated my blog header and basically renamed my blog, or used my original name I Heart Romance. While I will still continue to review Young […]

Books On My Fall 2019 TBR

Books On My Fall 2019 TBR

Let’s talk about anything bookish!   It’s that time of the season where I share my fall TBR. Well, at least books that are on my radar. There is still no guarantee that I will be reading all 15 books this year! As you know, I suck at lists but I also wanted to share books that I am eyeing and planning to read soon! If you follow me on Bookstagram, I’m also sharing Halloween recs and books I want to read in anticipated of Halloween! I’m 100% a scaredy-cat, so all the books I am sharing just have a […]

A Fae Romance Based on Hades & Persephone! Promise of Darkness by Bec McMaster [ARC Review]

A Fae Romance Based on Hades & Persephone! Promise of Darkness by Bec McMaster [ARC Review]

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. I didn’t know I needed a book like this until I started reading Promise of Darkness! It’s everything I want in a fantasy romance and more! Plus, did I mention that it is also a Hades and Persephone retelling? Promise of Darkness is a first-person POV romance in the heroine, Vi’s perspective. I normally love it when it’s a multiple POV romance because I always want to get a glimpse of the heroes thoughts, feelings, and motives. […]

Currently Reading 2019 Weeks 36-37: I’m Super Late for this post, but that’s okay!

Currently Reading 2019 Weeks 36-37: I’m Super Late for this post, but that’s okay!

Bookish updates in the last 2 weeks   How has the week been treating you? I’ve been a bit busy with the #nameathon challenge hosted by Under the Covers Book Blog and Ideally Inspired Reviews and while I enjoyed the week, I basically only finished one book for this challenge! I even picked really easy reads (well, one is a longer book) and I still couldn’t catch up! This year is really not the year of reading for me. I haven’t been stressing out this week and I actually baked a cake! I made choco flan and it turned out amazing and delish […]

The Friendship is the best thing in this book! Love on Lexington Avenue by Lauren Layne [ARC Review]

The Friendship is the best thing in this book! Love on Lexington Avenue by Lauren Layne [ARC Review]

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Love on Lexington Lane was a book that I was highly anticipating this year, but it really turned into a disappointing read. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting this book to be Chick Lit. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am okay with Chick Lit, it’s just not my cup of tea. At all. I guess this may be why I couldn’t get into Passion on Park Avenue. I really love the premise for Love on Lexington Avenue. This […]

My Ten Most Read Authors

My Ten Most Read Authors

Let’s talk about anything bookish!   I’ve thought about the authors that I read the most books from and I was quite surprised at the outcome! I kinda had an idea of who the authors were because I did this post a few years ago. I was pleasantly surprised when I tallied and came up with this list since some of the authors have remained and I have added new authors on this list. Obviously all of the authors mentioned on this list are romance authors. However, they write in different genres, except for a few that write multiple romance […]

Currently Reading 2019 Weeks 34-35: I’ve been reading a few meh books

Bookish updates in the last 2 weeks   We just finished the first week of this month and I have already DNF’d a couple of books and also lost interest in a few. Eeeep! I hope this is not a sign of what’s to come this month! I’m hanging in there, though! I plan to read more backlist books this month and I hope I won’t be disappointed! On the positive side, I just discovered an amazing Webtoon! It’s called Lore Olympus and it’s the BEST thing ever made! I am rooting for Persedes! It’s just too adorable! It’s not done yet, […]

It was Boring. Lies by Kylie Scott [Book Review]

It was Boring. Lies by Kylie Scott [Book Review]

One of my highly anticipated releases this month is Lies by Kylie Scott. I loved the premise and when I started reading it and discovered the names of the main characters Elizabeth and Thom – I was stoked! I mean, I LOVED that the hero is a spy and has been hiding his identity from this fiance and the heroine was planning to leave him because he sucked! I am a fan of the Blacklist and two of the characters there are Elizabeth and Tom, who didn’t really have an HEA on that show. When I was reading Lies, I […]
