Currently Reading Weeks 9-11

Bookish updates in the last 2 3 weeks

Happy Sunday, Wormies! It’s been a good 3 weeks, hasn’t it? This week, I have been brought down by the dratted flu and it has struck everyone in my household! What’s more, this is our 10th year anniversary week and Pierre and I got sick! Also, I spent two days on PTO just so we could go for a short trip or something, and we couldn’t even do anything! Ugh!

Anyway, there is a silver lining to this tale! And it is, I got to spend time reading…and rereading! I kid you not, Cat and Bones from the Night Huntress novels are bringing me back from the grave! Pun intended! I’m currently on the 4th book right now and I am so broken because Cat just hurt Bones! Yes, I do have go-to reads when I’m sick!

As for reading, I think I am starting to get back to reading historical romance now! YAZ! Oh, and have you noticed that I have been using my Instagram stories now?! I kid you not, I just discovered how to use that option to the fullest a couple of weeks ago! Ha!

I haven’t been blogging much and I think my mojo is starting to slow down a bit. I blame the crazy SoCal weather, though! But never fear, I will still be here, hopefully blogging more!

A Devil of a Duke by Madeline Hunter

The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata

I seriously CAN’T with this book! It’s is sllllooooooowww AF and at 73% NOTHING is happening between the hero and heroine! Heck, the hero’s roommate had more interaction with the heroine! Gaaaahhh!

  1. Oh no! I’m so sorry you’re bought down by the flu – and your anniversary week, too! I hope you two still get to celebrate!

  2. First off, HAPPY 10 YEARS!! That is just freakin terrific!! Ok, sorry to hear you couldn’t do anything because of being ill-I hope you are feeling much better!! And I am so done with snow-we got 9 inches on the 21st!! Thankfully gone now! I love all your books here-HR’s and some seriously hot looking reads!! I hope this week finds you feeling better, and I still don’t know how to instagram-but I follow a kazillion people!! LOL I have an Easter Egg Hunt contest if you would like something different to do..

    • Thanks, Joann! I am feeling a little better now, just a little cough left. WOW on snow! At least we don’t have snow here! I’m ready to read HR now!

  3. Sorry you are sick! That is such a bummer. And on your anniversary too!! Yuck!
I know everyone LOVES Mariana Zapata books, but I think its way to slow. I get the slow burn thing, but DANG…its just too slow for me. I’m not saying I need sex by chapter 5, but I need some interactions!
Hope your other reads are great!!! You picked up some GREAT books!

    • Sex by chapter 5 please! LOL Just kidding but at least interactions between the H and h that are sweet and make you believe that they are falling in love.. this was exhausting and sooo boring!

    • Thank you, Sam! I may try another book from her and see if my opinion changes. The Wall of Winnipeg was just… urrrmmm boring!
