Currently Reading 2019 Weeks 13-15: I’m Baaaaaack!

Bookish updates in the last 2 weeks

Good morning, Wormies! I’m blogging at a Dunkin’ Donuts right now and I am absolutely feeling it! Their playlist is full of 80s-90s songs and I am in heaven! I’m a 90s kid but  I love 80s classic rock. In fact, Pierre and I listen to those songs while getting ready for work in the morning. We carpool now and it’s been quite a challenge getting ready together, but we’ve actually made it work. And this includes feeding out two fluffball beasties and making our “fancy” latte!

I am not a morning person and I wouldn’t have thought that I would enjoy getting ready in the morning.

Anyway, I am slowly getting out of my funk now and I do have a post about it for tomorrow! I’m super excited for you all to read it because it’s basically current me talking to past me about all my blogging failures!

I also want to share an HEA story. Ahemm.. apparently, I had no idea that Pierre didn’t know what H.E.A. means! The HORROR!

  1. Well hot damn, Zee! Check you out with your week in reading. That’s a lot of books read. I would shock myself if I ever read that many books in a week. Keep up the good work though! You take such great IG pics too. You’re like IG goals!

  2. Kind of a side note, but I’m really liking where these more recent romance covers are going. They’re so pretty, but still emotional, and sometimes super hot. All good things. And wow, look at your big reading week!

    • The illustrated ones? I kinds love/hate them because it doesn’t feel like romance! I always think it’s women’s fiction or chick lit!

  3. I love being someplace where the piped in music is awesome. It’s like, um, I think I’ll just stay here a while. 🙂 I was in high school in the 80’s so all that music is totally nostalgic for me. 🙂 I’m still howling over “What’s a heee-yaah?” LOL You’ve been a reading best, lady! That’s awesome! I’ve been meaning to reading something by Kennedy Ryan for ages. I need to make that happen soon.

    • Kennedy Ryan is AMAZING! Her books are gut-wrenching and heartbreaking but very, very lovely!

Husband’s “heee–yaaaah” still gets me every time!

    • LOL I tend to jump around when the book is not engrossing enough. And I usually have at least one audiobook that I listen to during my drive to work 🙂
