Sophie Jordan is one author that I have read in multiple genres. From her historical romances, young adult and now, new adult, I have enjoyed the diversity of this author. Wild, is the last book in the Ivy Chronicles series and is the first NA book that I read by Ms. Jordan. I was actually blown away by how sizzling this book really is! It also features a younger, more experienced hero. Delish! Want to know more about what I think? Read my review here! Excerpt “I gotta go,” I said hurriedly, turning to walk around the Jeep, ready […]
MY THOUGHTS Warning: This review may contain spoilers What a Wallflower Wants by Maya Rodale is the third book in her Bad Boys and Wallflowers series and features Prudence, the third lady in the trio of best friends. I’m a little bit torn by this book. And although I liked the writing and the style, I found it hard to relate and like Prudence. I also didn’t like the abduction scene and how it came about. I just felt that it was too… uhmm frivolous or something. I really felt for Prudence, though since she was sexually assaulted by someone […]
MY THOUGHTS Warning: This review may contain spoilers Once More, My Darling Rogue is the second book in the Scoundrels of St. James series by Lorraine Heath and focuses on Drake Darling and Lady Ophelia Lyttleton. We meet both of these characters in the first book When the Duke was Wicked since Lady Ophelia is Lady Grace’s best friend. We should also note that Drake Darling is that little boy Frannie and Sterling adopted in Surrender to the Devil who was then known as Peter Sykes. Let me start to say this book is very emotional since it touches on subjects […]
My Thoughts I really enjoyed Finding Miss McFarland so much! The third book in Vivienne Lorret’s Wallflower Wedding series, Finding Miss McFarland is an awesome read. Delaney, the heroine, is a very interesting character. Coupled with her tendency to be clumsy, especially when she is around Griffin Croft. Unfortunately for her, their first meeting turns out to be one of the most talked about incidents in the ton which. This led her to go out of her way to avoid Griffin, to the point of sending someone to stalk him (just so she can avoid him). But as fates would […]
Cam heard the trouble on the trail ahead before he saw it. The screams made him instinctively slow his horse as he rounded the bend, but when he saw a young boy being held by the scruff of his shirt and beaten by a big bull of a man, Cam reached for his sword and spurred his horse to move faster. A heartbeat later he’d reached the pair. The thud of his boots hitting the ground made the assailant glance around, just in time to see Cam’s sword hilt before it slammed into the big oaf’s head. The fellow went […]
My Thoughts “Emotional and Scorching!” Emotional and scorching, His Mistress by Monica Burns tell a story of one man, a solicitor and one woman, a spinster blackmailed into marrying each other. Both are hiding secrets that would ruin them in the ton’s eyes. This is Ms. Burns’ first book in her new Self-Made Men series and I loved this story. Yes, it is erotic but it also has romance. To be honest, I was not expecting to be blown away by this book. In fact, I am not a fan of the dom-sub trope in romance but I decided to read […]
This was a very quick and refreshing read for me. I actually enjoyed the story despite thinking the female protagonist to be a bit dense but I guess, the author had to use someone who wasn’t as tech savvy as the male protagonist. Despite that issue, I enjoyed it and read it in just one sitting. Noah Frellish, Billionaire CEO, helps Michelle Kolson one night while she was working late. He introduces himself as “Sark” (his gaming handle), when he sees that the new employee doesn’t recognize him. Michelle, on the other hand, finds herself attracted to this geek and […]
A Little Bit Sinful is the first book that I read written by Robyn Dehart and it turned out to be a refreshing read to me as well. This is also the second book in the series and I think it did well as a stand alone, seeing as I had not read the first book yet.
This story centers on Clarissa trying to steer her “perfect match” George, into proposing marriage to her. Unfortunately, it has taken him quite a while to propose and Clarissa is getting antsy.
