February Reading Updates

February Reading Updates

Since February was a really short month, I got to read FOUR books.  It really seemed like the month of love was not my pick to read romance novels.  LOL Oh and there will also be no Friday Faves feature today since I will be doing this instead. January Reading Updates

January Reading Updates

January was a tough month for me – especially the last couple of weeks.  I really had high hopes for this month and I failed.  Although I read quite a few books, it’s still not what I had envisioned my month to be.  Okay, so I had a valid excuse – working really hard for the last three weeks because our annual survey was coming up PLUS month end closing AND we had to move to a new apartment!  Still, I bemoan the loss of my reading time. On a good note, I read 6 books in January; currently reading […]

April Wrap Ups

April Wrap Ups

I have to say that I have been a busy bee this last month.  I have read a total of 9 books, with 1 reviewed in April that I added just to make the list an even 10. I have a varied list this month with 5 being Historical Romances, 2 YAs, 1 Fantasy, 1 Time Travel, and 1 Contemporary Romances.  However, I still see my currently reading list mounting up.  I still have a habit of pretty much abandoning some of the books that I have been reading that I have lost interest in.  For the moment, at least. […]

March Wrap-Ups

March Wrap-Ups

I apologize for posting my March wrap-up mid month since I was so busy the first week of April since it was my birthday week.  Yay me!  Anyway, I am now back to reading Historicals! For the last few of weeks, I have noticed that I have been reading a lot of Young Adult romances. Not that these romances aren’t good reads but I haven’t really been reading a lot of YA’s in the last few years. I did pretty good this month reading wise BUT not with my March TBR list!  Apparently, I tend to avoid my list like the […]

February 2013 Wrap Up

February 2013 Wrap Up

I had high hopes for February.  With it being the month of love, I thought I would be reading a lot of romance!  Unfortunately, that was not the case.  I’ve had hits and misses this month and have only finished reading TWO books!  Can you imagine that? I’ve probably opened up to 5 books last month that I haven’t finished.  Here’s a short recap of the books that I read – some I did finish and some I didn’t. Everneath by Brodi Ashton – ♥♥♥ A Mermaid’s Kiss by Joey W. Hill – ♥♥♥ The Importance of Being Wicked by Victoria […]

February Book DNRs

February Book DNRs

There are times when the books you pick end up as a DNR  (Do Not Resuscitate, yes because I am a nurse, so I have to call it that).  At the first of the month, I had high hopes with my book choices.  In fact, I signed up for a mini challenge hoping to get through my TBR pile in a breeze.  For the most part, I had hoped that by mid month, I would be at least halfway done.  But no.  I just couldn’t get past finishing my choices.  Maybe I was being ambitious.  But I thought picking 5 books […]

Monthly Mini: TBR February

Monthly Mini: TBR February

It’s February and it’s the month where two hearts beat as one.  Okay, so that sounded so corny but hey, you are allowed to be corny during Valentine’s Day right? Right. Anywho, what better way to start the month with a mini challenge.  This month, I will be reading and reviewing four books on my TBR shelf.  Of course, all of them are romance themed so it does work into the season.   Well, what are you guys planning to read this month?
