Creating a Blogging Schedule that Works for You

Creating a Blogging Schedule that Works for You

Let’s talk about anything bookish! I am perhaps what one might call a seasonal blogger. It does seem like a blog more often or not depending on the season. I am a mood reader and apparently, this also means I am a mood blogger. Also, I have seen quite a number of bloggers say how they want to post more or how they don’t have time to post. YEAH, THESE ARE EXACTLY MY PROBLEMS, TOO! Anyway, because of my faults, I have set-up a blogging schedule that works perfectly for me and I hope, for you as well! TIP: Create […]

Things I Learned About Myself After Reorganizing My Bookshelf

Things I Learned About Myself After Reorganizing My Bookshelf

Let’s talk about anything bookish! I finally reorganized my shelf for the first time this year! I know some of you reorganize your shelves multiple times a year, but I am not one of those people! (But I’m honestly JEALOUS of them) The process of reorganizing my shelf was a tough one. On a whim, I bought a new shelf and added it to the already two shelves in our living room. Mind you, we don’t have a HUGE space and we only have one big room which doubles as our living room/dining room. And now, it now my library! Naturally, […]

How to Increase Your Netgalley Health

How to Increase Your Netgalley Health

Let’s talk about anything bookish! For those of us who review books, we are very familiar with Netgalley. What struck me one day was a conversation I had with one of my friends who said that her Netgalley feedback ration was soooo low, and how could she raise it higher? On Netgalley, the suggested feedback ration is 80% or higher. This means that you get a higher chance of getting approved when you request galleys. This also means that you have sent reviews/feedback on the books that you have requested. My current Netgalley feedback ratio is 86%. But it wasn’t always that way! […]

Why It Sucks Being a Mood Reader

Why It Sucks Being a Mood Reader

Let’s talk about anything bookish! If you have been following my blog, you will know that I am a mood reader. What this means is that I pick a book based on my moods or what I’m currently feeling. This also means that I am unable to follow any sort of TBR or any sort of themed challenge where I pick the books that I will be reading for a specified period. I joined the ARC August challenge last month and it was clearly obvious based on my challenge results that I ultimately failed the challenge. See, I lined up books that […]

Do Comments Really Matter?

Do Comments Really Matter?

Let’s talk about anything bookish! So, I have been pretty absent in the blogosphere and I admit that I haven’t been visiting and commenting on the blogs that I follow. In all honesty, I feel really bad but I have been slowly getting back into the grind. Anyway, this made me think about commenting. Do they really matter? Are we obligated to comment on posts or even comment back just because someone commented on your post? I have mixed feelings about this and I may be opening a can of worms because this is also an unpopular opinion. I’m not […]

The One Genre that I Gave Up On

The One Genre that I Gave Up On

Let’s talk about anything bookish! Last week, I shared my habit of hopping from one genre to another. Now, I wanted to share my thoughts on genres that I actually have given up on. I really gave this topic a lot of thought because I wasn’t really sure if I had one. But I actually realized that I DO have one genre that I don’t read and it’s Mystery! And I don’t mean romantic mysteries. So, I used to read a lot of Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys growing up so the private eye mysteries were one of my favorites! […]
