Hello, Armchair BEA-ers! Unfortunately for us, we are unable to attend BEA this week but fortunately for us, we can still participate! I am running a little late in introducing myself, so I’m trying to catch up!
So, without further ado, let me introduce myself!
What is the name
you prefer to use?
On the blog, I usually go by Zeee, but I answer to my real name Ezrah, as well! I’m starting to slowly use my real name in intros because I’m getting used to it now (I mean, this is after 30 something years of having this name.. LOL) and a lot of people have said that they like my name (even authors, YES!). Plus my name has forever been immortalized in a little book called Illuminae by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff, so I’m not complaining!
How long have you
been a book blogger?
I have been blogging for almost 7 years now, only been book blogging since 2012, and recently became active in the community. I have been pretty much low key for the most part of book blogging, but I am starting to get out of my shell.
Have you participated
in ABEA before?
This is the first time I am joining ABEA! So, despite being a little nervous, I am excited to get to know bloggers and hopefully, we will see each other at BEA, next year!
What is your favorite genre
My absolute, favorite, go-to genre will always be historical romance. I have been reading historicals for over 20 years now, which means I have been reading books I shouldn’t have been reading because I was too young. I still read historical romance to this day! My second favorite genre would have to be young adult mostly dystopia , sci-fi, retellings, and fantasy.
If you could create a playlist that reflects your bookshelf,
what would be the first song you choose?
I’m not really good at picking songs that go with the type of books I read because it is just sooo hard. *wink Since I am reading an assortment of books in different genres, so I pick The Kill by 30 Seconds to Mars. (hint: I am currently reading ACoMaF).
What book are you most
excited for on your TBR?
I am really excited to read Gemina
by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff and I have been waiting for it since I finished reading Illuminae
at the beginning of this year.
What is the most interesting thing that you have learned
through your reading this year so far?
I learned that I can read different genres and enjoy them! I used to read only a few genres but this year, I started expanding and started reading books that I don’t usually read. Some of them have been misses, but some have become favorites!
If you could choose three characters to have lunch with,
who would they be and why?
Oh, a tea party! PERFECT! I would be delighted to invite these three characters to my table:
Celaena Sardothien (the snark!)
The Mad Hatter (for the crazy fun, plus a tea party wouldn’t be complete without him!)
The Lunar Chronicles gang (well, because I can’t pick only ONE!)
Are you joining the Armchair BEA festivities? I would love to get to know you!
